MEDIA ADVISORY, Jan. 21 /Christian Newswire/ -- While Senator Fred Thompson is attending to his mother in Tennessee, many in Jesusland are still working hard for Fred, according to David Jeffers, author of Understanding Evangelicals: A Guide to Jesusland. "Many Floridian evangelicals, especially in the Panhandle, are still on fire to bring Fred a Florida victory."
Jeffers says while much speculation swirls inside the media bubble on Thompson remaining in the race, the author will be busy all week making phone calls for Fred.
"I want Florida values voters to know that Fred not only supports the all-important social issues evangelicals refuse to compromise on, our conservative values will also be met by Fred's strong commitment to national security and fiscal responsibility," explains Jeffers.
Jeffers reminds Florida voters of Fred Thompson's strong conservative values:
1. A lifetime American Conservative Union rating of 86.2% compared to John McCain's 82% and Ron Paul's 76%
2. His promise to appoint only judges faithful to our Constitution
3. Strong support of 2nd Amendment rights
4. Excellent immigration plan
5. Devotion to winning the war on terror
6. Building a strong national defense
7. 100% voting record opposing abortion and the National Right to Life's endorsement
8. Making the tax system simpler and fairer for all
9. A healthcare system that is affordable, fully accessible, and portable.
10. Protecting children and strong family values
Jeffers cautions evangelicals from getting caught up in the electability concern, the non-charisma charge, or Thompson's alleged lack of public speaking skills.

Cool!
Fred ping
I don’t think Fred can pull #s to win or place in FL, but he is siphoning away the Huckabee votes!
Excellent. Here’s praying that Huckabee supporters will change their votes to Thompson.
I sent another donation, that’s two today.
Word on talk radio is that Fred will drop out this week and will endorse McCain.......if true would be a total betrayal
If Thompson continues to gain on his own AND gets Huckabee votes, he’ll win.
It is possible.
As I posted a couple of weeks ago, the so-called “evangelicals” will be slow to change positions on Huckabee. But, like I said, many of them will change.
It’ll take a few lunches after church, a couple of deacon’s meetings, sitting together at a ball game, or a Wednesday night Fellowship dinner.
The shine will wear off the Huckster. Fred is the choice, IF they look.
Recall the planted story before Iowa of Fred dropping out.
Just a repeat.
Fred's campaign has made it clear that they have the money to continue, they are just waiting to get the go ahead from Fred to move forward. Meanwhile, all the scuttlebutt is that Huck's campaign is actually the one out of money.
I don’t believe that Fred will endorse McCain. If he does, it is the end of any credibility he will ever hope for... for the rest of his political life.
Having said that, it DOES seem that talk radio is easing into a Fred drop out. Between Rush today and now Sean... well, it is more how they are saying what they are and what they are not saying that is speaking volumes.
As for me, I have just sent an email to imploring Fred to hang on for a bit longer. It is just too early to drop out and the country needs him.
Might not amount to a hill of beans, but at least I get to feel that i am doing something while I wait for this mysterious announcement tomorrow.

Give it up....Fred is not gonna happen...time to go with Romney if you want to head off RINO McCain
_______
Busy day for you. You are ignored.
As Bill Murray said in Ground Hog Day: "What an incredible waste of time!"
Yeah, networking is key. Calling and all that stuff is great, but you look at how Huck has organized, it’s thru the churches. Fred needs to do the same.
Good. Taking care of your mother when she needs you is not the same thing as quitting the race, and those who spread rumors about Fred quitting should be ashamed of themselves.
Fred never expected to win Florida, but I think he can do pretty well there. A majority of Floridians think he is the most conservative candidate.
Imagine that, a Mitten lying and spreading disinformation.
Well, I see why he picked his candidate.
Fred has to know that if he endorses McCain his supporters, although loyal to him, will not follow his lead and vote for McCain.
