The RATS go first. Let Hillary decide if she wants Obama or Richardson b4 Mitt has to decide. If she chooses Obama, Mitt counters with JC Watts or Condi.

Stick a fork in the Maverick. I would never vote for the “Terrorist Bill of Rights” author

Not only does he look 90, he’s got Wilfred Brimley’s endorsement. Quaker Oatmeal, anyone?

I think Reagan ate pig iron for breakfast every morning, not milque toast and tea.

Hillary may pick John Breaux.

Romney is the most conservative of the 4 who have a chance.

A-freakin'men!!

Finally, a closed state with a LOT of influence.

If Romney can hold up and win, he will be sitting in the cat bird's seat.

Romney IS the only one of the top four who can win.

And he's got a fairly conservative record of governance.

I agree. I have been suggesting Mitt/Fred as a ticket to consider, if the principles agree. The idea seems to be getting a bit more palatable here on FR, too. It really does make some sense as a balanced ticket if you think about it.

I just don't see Thompson agreeing to 2nd place. How about Romney/Hunter?

Romney/Steele

STEELE said some time ago that Fred had no business being in the race. I heard him say it with my own ears, he is not a very nice person and has zeo warmth. Bad choice, sorry.

I have heard that Fred is staying in the race through Florida, at least. If he does nothing other than drawing enough votes from Huckabee to ensure a 4th place finish, that will at least be some positive result.

I would have loved to see a successful Thompson run, but now I have to move on.

And, with the economy becoming the main issue, that would give it to Mitt. No one wants Dems near the national budget, what with their raising taxes, and they sure as hell don’t want them near the national security. Clinton and Obama are in a MADD situation.

That would be sweet. Veep = Steele, Watts, Tancredo, Hunter, Thompson, any one of these guys. And there are others. That would be enough to convince me that Mitt is playing for keeps and isn’t as liberal as he’s portrayed by some.

I have seen reports from Florida that over 30% have already voted. Based on that, “exit” polling on the 29th will be more suspect than usual...there could easily be a huge unanticipated winnner...magritte

Well all things considered, I guess this is good news. Unless Fred can pull a miracle, Romney is the guy. Romney/Watts 2008!

Now that's a ticket I can get behind. See: Draft JC Watts

Unfortunatly Steele is right. I’ve dealt with Fred, and he is a VERY NASTY individual. He also is not well. The other GOP Senators disliked him. On the plus side, the Senators ALL despise McCain.
