Little Rock, AR-
One day after a devastating loss to Senator John McCain in the South Carolina primary, Mike Huckabee visited Huck supporter Chuck Norris Lone Wolf Ranch near College Station TX for a fundraiser that included him playing with his old band. During a press avail prior to the event, Huckabee took a moment to speak to reporters on the tough defeat the night before.

Thanks, dear. I’ll tell my children you said that about their Momma.
Whooo..Now that’s nasty! :-o
naughty,naughty...
< < In order to match the intellectual level of his response with that of this challenge, Fred should simply say: “That’s for me to know and you to find out”. > >
“A mental institution, Michael. A mental institution.”
This type of slime from Mike Huckabee is exactly why Fred Thompson needs to stay in.
There is no good “second choice” for conservatives. I wish there was. But what could Fred do by leaving? He can’t say “I’m getting out for the good of the country...” because there is no one for him to endorse. There is simply nothing to be gained from falling on his sword. The only way anything good can come of this Republican primary is for Fred to keep fighting with everything he’s got and go for a win.
This whole process has been unusual from the start. Fred’s campaign managers must know this. It must be almost impossible to guess at the future from here. I know it will be a hard a frustrating road, but we need the conservative to stay in otherwise we have no one to vote for.
Go Fred!
...... and here is hoping that Huckabee sticks hit foot all the way into his mouth and keeps it there. His lack of decency and slimy campaigning makes me ill.
LOL.
Reminds me to post this...How many folks voted for Huck because they thought that, if they elected Huckabee,
Walker, Texas Ranger would
handle the country's drug war?
help straighten out our children
be our liaison with the spirit world
make certain that the "good guys" win all bar brawls
send all rapists and murderers to prison
[insert your idea here]
Thompson’s staying in the race will guarantee him a prominent cabinet job if McCain wins the nomination and election. He is helping McCain by splitting the evangelical and social conservative vote, thus denying Huckster and Romney critical support.
In your case that might be better termed "willful ignorance."
Huckabee’s best day was Iowa.
I’m pretty confident thats what will be said in December of THIS YEAR, if he’s mentioned.
“Huckabees best day was Iowa.”
One result out of this primary season, I believe, will be the final death blow to Iowa and New Hampshire as deciders of the party nominees.
Although Guliani’s position of waiting to Florida is extreme, I think the trend will be for candidates to stop putting so much focus on Iowa and New Hampshire and start putting more focus on other states, as Romney has done with Nevada and Wyoming.

Sounds like Huck needs a little help.
I think thats a fair assessment.
Every four years we get all worked up over two relatively meaningless primary’s involving two small states that have no viable comparisions to the nation as a whole.
Its good for ‘warming up’ the various campaign staffs, and weeding out the also rans, but thats about it.
Excuse the ignorance of someone from across the pond, but what exactly is a “brokered convention”.
Or, put another way, he's still the only Republican in the race who has both fiscal and social conservative credentials. Which means I'll be voting for him. If Romney and Huckabee weren't such lousy candidates, they wouldn't have anything to fear from Fred. If Huckabee wasn't a liar and a tax-raiser and if Romeny wasn't a flip-flopper, then I'd already be headed to one of their camps. Neither are that appealing of an option (though Romney is much more so), so they have no one to blame but themselves that Fredheads aren't going to them. It's not Fred's fault. Similarly, thought I detest Ron Paul, he has a following because he has presented a position in re: Constitution that has relative integrity. It's not his fault that the other candidates have not.
Romney put plenty of eggs in his Iowa basket. He just lost.
I guess it hurts to read the facts.
Why don’t Huckleberries like the facts?
