Little Rock, AR-
One day after a devastating loss to Senator John McCain in the South Carolina primary, Mike Huckabee visited Huck supporter Chuck Norris Lone Wolf Ranch near College Station TX for a fundraiser that included him playing with his old band. During a press avail prior to the event, Huckabee took a moment to speak to reporters on the tough defeat the night before.

Huck says race is wide open and could go to a brokered convention, then he says since Thompson did not win Iowa or SC he will have to get out or explain why he is not getting out since he said he needed to win.
Video at link.

Seems to me with a brokered convention no need to get out (or explain). That said - I think Thompson will be ending it soon. Too bad.

In REALITY, Fed has NO REASON to drop out, AT ALL...
The Repubs are going to a BROKERED CONVENTION, and the 55 Tennessee delegates can mean a LOT...

The longer Fred stays in the more he can sap from Huckabee. Even if he doesn’t win I consider that a worthy cause.

Huck sounds like hes still scared of Thompson. That would mean admitting that Thompson takes votes from Huckabee. That would mean admitting social conservatives like Huckabee, just like they like Thompson. That would mean admitting that Huckabee is conservative.
Nope he is not afraid of Thompson. [/sarcasm]

Huck HOPES Fred will drop out. Looks to me like Fred effectively ended Huckabee’s chances on Saturday. If Huckabee can’t win SC, he’s finished.

It’s easy to see Huckabee’s supporters think he’s conservative. This is due to a combination of Huckabee’s deception and the media’s lies.
But Huckabee’s politics are liberal. He just won’t admit it.

Man, when he talked about Fred, his voice trailed off and he turned away from the camera and it sounded to me like some wishful thinking.
Sorry Huck.
