Who would you now support? Also for Fred supporters only, if Fred endorses McCain, what impact would it have on your vote?

Unless Fred catches fire soon, it looks like its down to McCain and Romney (I don't think Huckabee is going anywhere).
I don't care for either Mitt or McCain (and I live in Arizona!). I do know that McCain and Fred are friends. My feelings are that McCain may take Thompson on as VP in order to throw a bone to the Conservatives.
My worst fear is that if McCain wins, he'll choose Lindsey Graham as his VP. :0(
I’m a big Fred supporter. I will NOT under any circumstances vote for McCain or Huckster.
A Rudy/Fred or Mitt/Fred ticket would get my enthusiastic support. A Rudy or Mitt ticket with anyone else would get my vote, but that’s about it.
Hank
It definitely would lessen my opinion of Thompson. And it definitely would not change my decision not to vote for McCain if McCain gets the nomination. My dream would be that this thing goes to a brokered convention, McCain is not picked and gets so pissed off that he retires from politics or at least leaves the Republican party. I despise the man.
Interesting that they refer to Giuliani as a "major candidate" while omitting Ron Paul, who is doing better than Giuliani is! Of course, we can debate all day whether or not Paul is a conservative but the fact stands that as of this moment he is still a Republican contender and is doing better than most people expected him to.
I will not vote for McCain
“I will NOT under any circumstances vote for McCain or Huckster.”
Thank you.
Actually, my guess would be Gov. Pawlenty of Minnesota, who’s one of the chairs of his campaign.
For me, Mitt is a distant second behind Fred
How about a Thompson / McCain ticket? Dude would never see the presidency. Ha ha.
Regards
It would be better to have Obama or Hillary as president and be the opposition party and disprove the "America is bigoted" crowd instead of McCain unifying the parties and backstabbing Republicans the whole time he's president.
It will be the first presidential election I've ever sat out.
write in campaign ......... FRED/DUNCAN.......DUNCAN/FRED///
My dislike for McCain has nothing to do with Fred.
McCain's an adversary: he's wrong on just about every issue except defense.
Giuliani is a liberal: he's an adversary and would kill off conservativism if he could. We could expect an energetic enemy in the White House if Giuliani gets there, who could claim to have captured the flag of the GOP. At that point, every conservative in America becomes like a stateless person, an exile. We'd be arguably better off with Obama or Beast in the White House. When Beast has Rush arrested, that'll be the country's wake-up call.
Huckabee is a deceiver, and a cryptoliberal like the Clintons, who masqueraded for a while as a conservative in order to get into office in Arkansas. He'd be as toxic as Giuliani in office, and for the same reason. Worse, he's been quietly holding hands with the Clintons.
Romney is a chameleon, an internationalist and social liberal who pretends "conservative" even as his gorge rises with every assertion, and he would greatly hurt the conservative cause in America if elected. He would promote every social evil there is, and continue the government subsidy of idiotic access/crony-capitalist practices by large companies that have created the current credit problems and blackened the name of both Republicanism and conservatism. He would do squat about pork-barreling, because he hasn't any moral authority or leadership. He won't challenge the buzzards standing on their carrion. He's a pawn of the East Coast old money, IMHO, and he will not challenge his sponsors. I peg him for a bootlicker and a school-tie, hail-Bonesman-well-met Yacht-Clubber.
AFAIC it's Fred or go to hell.
I'm tired of the majority of Main Street Republicans getting screwed by the "money-down" wing of the party who just buy the nomination year after year.
None. I don’t vote for RINOs.
Good point.
My concern is that he and JM will be a team. I can’t vote for McCain. I’m not saying this a supporter but I wonder how it would work if he and DH teamed up now. Is that legal? FT could pull in Huck supporters with DH, I think. It would be a choice for Evangelicals, anyway.
It would be premature for Fred to consider dropping out before Feb. 5th. There is no clear leader in the GOP as of yet, although we know there is a lot od indecisiveness.
So to ask me a hypothetical question about who I would support if Fred drops out is a moot point. Fred is not out yet. People are looking at him much closer than the past 3 contests. If he stays in it, I think he will be a force to be recconed with.
So my vote is none of the others.
