Since when did exit polls decide an election? Do we not count the votes anymore? Remember the exit polls in the 2004 Pres election that showed Bush being beaten badly and actually it turned out the exact opposite. Exit polls are just another poll and an attempt by the MSM, and others, to drive an election their way by trying to make people give up before the voting is over. They used to do the same thing with “projections” but now use “exit polls”. All polls are BS. The only poll the counts is the final vote count.

Looks like a McCain win to me. The tighter race may be between Romney and Thompson. Thompson may regret saying he was dropping out if he finished fourth. I doubt he meant fourth by a nose.

The pro-aborts are two-to-one for Romney over Thompson. Not surprising.

I was just looking through that. God these people are either stupid or naive, or both.

If Olbermann got hoodwinked by Thompson’s speech then South Carolina got hoodwinked by *ucker and McAmnesty.

On the other hand, it looks to me like Romney’s weakness is McCain’s strength. So a close finish may mean less than I first thought.

Yes he is ahead now. All I am saying is that it is so so close. That’s more like tied for third or tied for fourth, depending on how you want to spin it.

I hope the GOP and NRC people are happy about splitting the party into so many fragments.

Thank God exit polls don’t determine the outcome.

NH is a good example of that FACT.

All the president had to do was have Cheney retire and name a new VP after 2004. Then we would have had a candidate to rally around. Instead, we get this mess.

I know it's trite, but in this case, it's accurate--Bush's fault!

To me, the abortion question is telling. It tells me that independents and Democrats infiltrated the GOP primary.

McCain is pretty solidly pro-life, so those voters didn’t vote for him because of his position. Rudy is characterized, I think a bit unfairly, as the pro-choice candidate.

So who were these voters who supported McCain?

Going back to closed primaries would be nice too. This whole “let’s see if we can’t completely screw up their candidates” in the early primaries is patently obvious and should already have been fixed.

Notice that they are polling on abortion, where Dems hate the Republican position.
