The specifics of this fundraising are likely to stop many people from donating. It’s not smart to send checks to unidentifiable P.O. boxes based on a story you read on the Internet. Since you’re a longtime FReeper, I assume this story is real, but if the family is serious about raising the money, they need to get a dedicated fund set up at a bank, and have donations sent there.

Prayers up for Caiti’s health and healing and for her family.
I will be praying for Caiti. Does she have a site on caringbridge.org? She can set up a site there and she or the family can journal daily and also meet new friends who have cancer as well. You can also get the word out about her situation. I check the progress of several of our kids and their families via caringbridge.org. One of our kids is at St. Jude’s in New York as I write.

Grant this victory to Caiti---that she would walk in faith, fully trusting in You as her Healer. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, defeated disease on the Cross, and we confess that powerful victory over Caiti's body. May she keep her eyes firmly fixed upon You, as she waits for all symptoms to leave her body. Help her to feel Your loving arms holding her up and may she derive all her strength from the Rock of Jesus Christ. May she walk by faith and not by sight, and may she be an inspiration to all those who watch her throughout this trial.
