Caiti Brown is a delightful 17 year old girl who has been triumphantly walking with cancer for nearly 4 years. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in 2004, she continues treatment for a relapse of disease to her lungs which occurred in the summer of 2006. Caiti Brown has had four major surgeries. Two of them were to repair and replace her damaged femur, knee, and a bit of her tibia. The other two were thoracic surgeries removing a lobe of her left lung and disease from her right lung. She has been disappointed by many strong and sound chemotherapy protocols. Her oncologist has and continues to seek every possible option. Unfortunately, Caiti Brown has been disappointed by a great number of conventional treatments.
In light of this, the family is taking a huge leap of faith and has made the monumental decision to take her to Envita Medical Center in Scottsdale, AZ. This facility will use the integrative method of natural therapies to super charge her immune system along with chemotherapy. These therapies and the cost to stay in Arizona are not covered by the familys health insurance. Therefore the family will incur expenses exceeding $100,000.00. We are working toward a goal to raise as much of that as possible. Any donation that you can make would be met with great gratitude.
Checks can be made to the Caiti Brown Trip for Life and mailed to PO Box 8, Toms River, NJ 08753.
Have the family contacted St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital in Memphis??
Bitsy, I will ask Caiti’s parents if they are aware of caringbridge.org . I’d be surprised if they havent’. they’ve been in this battle for a long time. Thanks
You can ask for donations to help her in her journal. I really don’t know the rules for caringbridge. I do know that thousands use it. I pray everything goes well for her. Please keep us updated from time to time.
Brian and Michelle , Caiti’s parents, have consulted with St Jude’s and just about every other cancer center in the US. Caiti has recieved very aggressive treatment from several different specialists and there are precious few doctors who will take her on at this point. But if you knew her you’d know that she’s not gonna quit fighting the good fight. Caiti is an amazing inspiration to this old Marine.
Grant this victory to Caiti---that she would walk in faith, fully trusting in You as her Healer. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, defeated disease on the Cross, and we confess that powerful victory over Caiti's body. May she keep her eyes firmly fixed upon You, as she waits for all symptoms to leave her body. Help her to feel Your loving arms holding her up and may she derive all her strength from the Rock of Jesus Christ. May she walk by faith and not by sight, and may she be an inspiration to all those who watch her throughout this trial. O Lord, bring goodness and blessing from this whole situation, and may Your Holy Name be glorified in all the results. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Prayers for your little sweetie.
God walk with caiti.
Prayers for the young lady’s health and successful treatment.
Prayers for Caiti!!
Gosh, I can hardly believe that there are few doctors who would take her on at this point. That seems heartless. I can’t begin to imaine that. Well, we are praying and hoping prayers will win out over disease.
We know Marines are tough but...not when it comes to seeing a beloved family member suffer. God bless.
