...You can hear it in Limbaughs voice and see it in his face. He badly wants to throw the full weight of conservatism behind that candidate. He so desperately wants to that his teeth probably hurt. Hes waiting, waiting for someone to take the lead. Get noticed. Hes waiting for someone to give him the go ahead to cream the opposition.
You can hear the excitement in Rushs voice when he talks about the South Carolina primary. Its The Passion. The passion of conservatism emerging when he talks about that primary. Why, you ask? Because, for the first time since the primaries have begun, conservative Republicans will be voting for fellow conservative Republicans...
...Rush Limbaugh believes in conservatism. Its engrained in his soul. He introduced me to it, and now its engrained in my soul. I can recognize it like a tick on a white dog. Its as obvious as that.
I recognize it in Senator Fred Thompson, and so does Rush Limbaugh. Hes hinted, hes implied, and hes even begged conservatives to see what he sees in Fred Thompson. He sees conservatism, the same kind of conservatism he saw in Ronald Reagan. He doesnt want long, bloated policy. He wants simple, effervescent conservatism for Americans to unfold before their very eyes...

Fred is not going through this for any other reason than to win. Those who fall for bilge like that are simply allowing the MSM who created the myth to eliminate the best candidate for conservatives by making them fearful to vote for him. We need to stop listening when others tell us our vote is wasted because he can’t win or does not want to win.
Fred is in it to win.
Fred can win.
Don’t waste your vote by NOT voting for Fred Thompson.
Just to be clear, he said the prediction that he would drop out after Iowa and endorse McCain were false.
He has not promised that he would never drop out, and he has not promised he would not endorse McCain if he did drop out.
I wouldn’t want him to end up endorsing McCain and have people say he lied to us. I have not seen any statements from Thompson that would preclude him endorsing McCain if Thompson cannot win the nomination himself.
I’m not saying he WOULD, or he WOULDN’T. I’m saying he hasn’t promised not to.
>> You mean like the difference between a professional business presentation and the off-the-cuff commentary by some sluff off the street? Yeah, one looks much more polished, and yeah, I might believe the bum more.
Not exactly ... but sort of. When Fred or Rudy speak — it sounds like they’re speaking extemporaneously. They’re speaking from the mind/heart and laying out their opinions ... thus, it comes off as genuine — even if I may disagree with their particular stance.
When Mitt speaks, he sounds like he’s reading a position paper off of a cue card. It doesn’t sound extemporaneous — it sounds over-rehearsed. It comes off like a prepared statement — like he’s blowing smoke, telling the GOP what they want to hear, manipulating or supressing his actual opinions. It just doesn’t sound genuine.

NRA Endorsement! - where are you when we need you?!
Wonderful. Nice description of an evangelical Christian. Is this your man?
I can’t even express how detetable I find Mike Huckabee and these political tactics.
It claims Romney has a “Weak” conservative position on Gun Control, but you told me he was a gun-grabbing liberal.
I don’t think the NRA will endorse in the primary , nor should they .
Most primary voters who care about the gun issue know that Fred is clearly the best choice .
I doubt it. I can respect opinions I disagree with.
I was commenting about the chart.

I don’t think Rush would endorse Fred whatever level of support Fred was drawing. Rush makes his living by attracting listeners. Endorsing a candidate, any candidate, will drive away those listeners who support someone else. Rush gets paid big money because those who pay him expect him to keep his eye on the bottom line. That’s how business works.
So what if he did? I don't know anyone personally that would follow his lead and support McCain. I'm a Fred supporter and I know I wouldn't.
I don’t have an answer to your question , “so what if he did”.
I was just pointing out that some people were making generalization of what Thompson said that may not be accurate, and asserted things Thompson had not promised.
I was not expressing an opinion as to who would do what if Thompson were to drop out and endorse someone.
At this point, I’m beginning to think nobody is EVER dropping out of this election.
In his position, Rush cannot, I repeat, cannot endorse in the primaries. Can you imagine the MSM jumping all over his perceived ability to "play kingmaker"?
That being said, Rush has done just about everything except stand on his head and spit coins with Fred's picture on them to let his listeners know who he'd endorse if he were able to. It's up to the voters to pick up on that.
I am very disappointed to see that McCain still appears to be on top in the polls in SC -I find that to be very distressing.
I heard that call. It couldn’t be any more biased. I really think the Huck camp believes SC people are stupid.
Maybe this will clarify it for you , or maybe it won’t . Romney , as usual , is on multiple sides of every question .
Read it and prepare to be confused . Just remember , Flip Romney has banned guns in the past and it sounds like he wants to do it again.

In my opinion it really shows what I already believe about Huck. He wraps his dirty deeds and conniving ways in religion. I don’t trust him and quite honestly he scares me.
