Of course, the Clintons are trying to impede voters who they know support Obama. Amazing how the Dems always accuse the Republicans of voter intimidation, etc., when it's crooks like the Clintons who are the real pests.

Voter fraud is a primary campaign strategy of the Democrats... plain and simple. When they say that IDs are “intimidating” this is nothing more than saying... “Not fair, we can’t cheat if you do that.”

I’d love to see proper ID to vote everywhere and I want all the rolls cleared of dead people and bad data.

Whenever I’ve moved, I’ve had to show ID to get a library card. What’s the big deal? The only opponents of IDs are those people wedded to voter fraud, namely the Dems.

The last California election I offered my ID and they refused to ID me. Told me they would get in trouble if they identified me. Told me that me knowing my address and name was enough.
I said really? I know the names and residences of at least thirty neighbors, may I come vote thirty more times with this process?
We need to stop the attempts to steal the vote with fraud, and no proper ID when voting is ripe territory to have fraud go wild in.

A new Rasmussen poll finds that 17% of Americans think large numbers of legitimate voters are prevented from votingI am still waiting for evidence of one documented case where a properly-registered citizen who showed up at the correct polling place during the proper time-frame was denied the right to vote. I'd be curious to know what method these 17% of Americans believe is being used to disenfranchise "large numbers of legitimate voters." I'd bet that over 99% of this 17% are democrats.

Funny, it was the Clinton Machine thru local, county and state officials set this up. This set-up seemed fine to them until a week ago, when the Union did not give Hillary their endorsement. Only now are they crying fowl.

(Late Tuesday the Democratic National Committee quietly filed a motion supporting the Nevada party's rules.)Not clear here. Does this mean the DNC is against the Culinary workers or in favor of their caucus?

This means DNC is FOR caucuses on the Vegas Strip (favoring the culinary union folks) (not surprising DNC would support a rule approved by Nevada dems including DNC members earlier this year)

Good point. Is there a single example of a republican voter complaining about the "unfairness" of voter ID?

A woman from Cape Cod called into the Howie Carr show today as I was driving home. Her neighbor at her vacation home in Maine had called her and asked why she didn't let him know they had been up there recently. When she replied that they hadn't, the neighbor informed her that he had seen her name checked off as having voted on primary day. They live on a short street, and he saw her name (as well as her husband's) next to his when he gave his name to the attendant. Not only did this couple not vote in the Maine primary, they weren't even registered in Maine! Apparently they are now.
One guess which ballot was taken, according to the neighbor.
Irritatingly, Howie seemed to find the story amusing...I was swearing out loud in my car. The woman said she was going to call the town clerk. I would make a personal visit and then file a complaint at a state level.

I say take the RAT’s brief for requiring ID’s in Nev and submit it as is as an amicus brief for the Indiana case. Excuse me, Mr. RAT, you dropped your petard. Here it is.

Oh, you had to show that you had it but when I tried to hold it close enough so that the retiree working the poll could actually read it, they acted like I was holding out a snake or something. And it wasn't because turnout was heavy or anything. I guess the fact that you have to show something would hold down fraud but it would be an interesting experiment to hold out your spouse's id and see if they'd notice.

I was F’ing pissed off.
Some poll workers kind of agreed when I said this could cause lots of fraud.
Some poll workers looked aggravated by what I said.
One could easily guess which were the conservatives and which were the liberals.

It is absolutely classic!
Democrats: "We oppose requiring people to have ID cards to vote."
Democrats: "We require people to have ID cards to vote."
It all depends on what they want at the moment.
