CALLER: He exudes the most powerful morality I have seen in any candidate.
RUSH: So you have no doubts he would never cheat on his wife?
CALLER: That is correct.
RUSH: This is fascinating. Ruth, I can't thank you enough.
CALLER: I thank you, Rush, and just keep up the wonderful work. My husband and I listen to you every day, and we love you, and just keep that faith, because there are Republican conservatives out there who will prove who the true candidate will be, and I believe it will be Romney.
RUSH: We'll see. I'm glad you called, Ruth.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: We have decided to come up with a name for you babes who are smitten with Mitt Romney, first of many, but this works: Mittens. We're going to refer to you as Mittens.

Yes, indeed, you are right on target. The drive-by/MSM and radical left-wingers have absolutely tauted McCain as the GOP candidate and will most definitely try to destroy him collectively. That's okay by me as long as Fred does what he can to secure a Presidential or V.P. position.
Thanks for the heads up!
Maybe it was bait to get the Krintons to squander staff time and resources.
Him taking those practically successive calls and those comments woke me up like a 2:00am scorpion sting, but I didn’t interpret it as you did. I’ve been confident Romney has no skeletons, thus I took it as Rush signaling us Fredheads to begin an agonizing re-appraisal of his eventuality.
There was that too. I'd like to see Fred as the guy, but the fact is the campaign is a test of how the candidates would perform as President.
Fred has tried a number of unconventional things, late start, no fire in the belly comment, very few 10 second zingers, etc.
I thought he might still carry the day, and he might, but it looks unlikely.
If he doesn't, what that points to is that he might have been a disappointing President.
That's a little discouraging, as Romney is no conservative.
Right now, MA residents who haven't signed up for the MA mandated state health insurance are racking up $50 to $150 PER MONTH fines for not doing so.
By the time the election rolls around these folks will be well over a thousand or two in debt to the state for simply exercising their GOD GIVEN freedom to not bow to the state. Thats going to hurt us a lot with conservatives like us here.
Dear Balding Eagle: If there were dirt on Mitt it would have been found in 1994 or 2002. That was the first thing i read about Mitt.....there is NO dirt on him.
Oh man.
Good Lord.
We’re just going to have faith in Fred.
He’ll get us there if he can.
Thanks for posting this. Romney ought to start marketing shirts that say MITTen on them. I’d buy one.
Care for a friendly little wager? $10 from the loser to Jims FR?
Here the challenge from me: IF Hillary! is the Dem candidate, and if Romney is the Repub candidate, before election day, and quite possibly just a few days before (too late for an effective response) some damning ‘evidence’ against Romney will surface.
There will be no easily visible connection to Hillary! and Company.
That ‘evidence’ will seriously call into question Romneys fidelity to his wife.
It will be broadcast over and over on the DBM. No other story, with the possible exception of two planes flying into the Capital, will trump that ‘news’. Two planes may not be enough, as this is pivotal. It will be of such importance that the NYT may even run a special edition.
After the election is over, it will fade as soon as some reporter calls one of the persons Romney is accused of ‘consorting’ with. That person will be able to prove that there was no ‘consorting’ of any sort.
Book it. History repeats itself, and we are fools to ignore the lessons already learned. Hillary! has more resources than Hydra.
I would buy one too, if you see one lmk.
I know the clintons are the nastiest... maybe the huck with rollins will one up them, though.
Damn and damn.
My daydream is that they try something like I outlined, and SOMEHOW it would backfire like Dingy Harrys letter to Rush did!
RUSH: So you have no doubts he would never cheat on his wife?
CALLER: That is correct.
That's just weird. This lady thinking she knows Romney. I call these people the Soap Opera Voters. Ish.
Some posters on FR post the same sentiments regarding entertainers etc. They seem to think they are well-aquainted with the person.
They’re not impervious, and IF our nominee is on the ball, they can respond with something deadly to Hillary! and have a cake walk to the WH.
I just hope they are every bit a clever as Rush was.
They’re not.
I’m not counting Fred out at all. I think this Saturday may show way more movement than the polls suggest.
I hope you’re right. Fred/Hunter sounds perfect at this point.
Romney reminds people of some of the things they might’ve wanted in other Presidents.
He is like Ronald Reagan without the stardom but with the big supporting family.
Or he is like George W Bush without the dynasty but with the brains.
