It is very simple. If the South does not like Romney then he will lose the Southern States primaries and hence will not be the nominee. If he wins the Southern States primaries and becomes the nominee then he will win the South in the general elections and of course becomes the President :)

Fred is still going to win this whole thing when people come to their senses. But I'm interested in what you said because this is the first time I've read it from someone else, although I have thought about it.

Fred would be first on the list of any of the new converts to conservatism (Mitt), RINO's (Rudy, McCain) or Socialists (Huck) as a running mate to bring in conservative voters like us.

If things don't break our way and Fred doesn't win, I'm sure they will be on their hands and knees begging Fred to be a running mate. If it's Huck doing the begging, I'm sure Fred will tell him to lick his hairy beanbag. But the others...

Romney will not win my state of TN in the general election. He loses TN, he loses the general election. Fred is the only authentic major Conservative candidate and is the only candidate who can unite all the factions and win in November.
