Today is the big day!
Yeah, but all of those Dems votes for Ron Paul are wasted because <15% won’t count...
The dummiecRATS strike again....FOILED....
LOL....
Between Obama/Clinton and the Breck Girl....
'Twas ever thus.
Is the voting over in Michigan? Did Jim Tressel win again?
“Michigan has no dem delegates to give,0,nada,zip.”
Every single one of them will be reinstated. The pressure on the DNC is going to be unbearable, especially if the contest is close.
I don't think it was wrong. I just think it was purely symbolic as opposed to strategic. Both approaches are valid. It all depends on if an ardent Fred supporter thinks knocking McCain back in MI will help Fred elsewhere, or if he thinks the final MI counts will be more valuable by having a decent showing.
As I wrote above, you makes yer vote and takes yer chances.
I also tend to wonder why it is looked so badly upon when John McCain gets crossover votes (ie. voters that may or may not support him, but voting strategically) yet it is encouraged for Mitt to get votes the same way?
I don't believe in open primaries. If you want to nominate a Party candidate, join the frickin' Party. If a candidate can't win without crossovers, then he is a piss-poor representative of the Party.
RG's good!
Most democrat votes would go to McCain. Every democrat I know loves McCain. I don’t know any that like Paul.
If these exit poll numbers turn out to be correct, it is a great day for Conservatives.
Mitt will have stuck a fork in McCain and popped the "INevitable nominee" Balloon. Mitt by 5 or greater will result in McCain cratering in South Carolina -- he only has more than 20% there because he was the "electable" front-runner. He MUST finish 1st or 2nd in SC or he will completely dissappear on Super Tuesday.
This now makes 4th-4th-3rd for Huck in 3 states where he campaigned hard, add to that he is out of money and he is finished. His numbers are already tanking in South Carolina and Nevada, and he does not have the assets to fight back now. he may stick it out through the weekend, but he MUST now finish 1st or 2nd in SC.
The Big Winners today are:
Romney -- now a second win -- he moves into Front Runner status and will probably win Nevada. As long as he does not flop to 4th in SC he carries the Front Runner into Super tuesday.
FRED - he is surging in SC, and with McCain now reeling, Fred can up the pressure on him. Fred is in prime position to now win South Carolina and move into Super tuesday in control of the entire South. And Contrary to popular belief, word is Fred has a good amount of cash stashed for ad buys.
RUDY - Rudy now suddenly is back in the race. All the mushy moderates that were enamoured by Huckster and McCain now will take a second look at Rudy. He will be a force in the more liberal states on super Tuesday.
Super Tuesday could turn into a Mitt-Rudy battle in the NE/Rust belt/California while Fred rolls through the South.
BTW...Thanks for being a Chaplain and for serving our troops and our country..
I remember our Catholic Masses in the open air screened Chapels in VN and then out in the field when the Chaplains and their assistants would chopper in, say a quick Mass and homily and then fly to another site...cherished moments from a war...
That should have been 4th-3rd in TWO states.... he finished 4th in Wyoming but did not campaign there.
“Ron Paul is still benefitting from the Democrat votes, it seems.”
I don’t necessarily think so. I think Hillary supporters are going to go out and vote for her so she doesn’t lose to uncommitted. While the Democratic Hillary and Jenny (Granholm) haters are going to vote for uncommitted.
This is purely antedotal based on conversations with Democrats at work today. Not a lot of support for Paul (I specifically asked). They all did like the plane pulling the RP banner though.
Where did Rush say Hillary is certain to win the nomination? He has been saying the race is open and not to listen to the prognosticators who think they can tell the future (when the demonstrably cannot)?
Mark just had Jeri Thompson on his show, tonight...
She and FRed have been on several times..
I dont think he has invited Ann Romney and her husband onto his show...
OK, people. Get over it. I merely quoted what Mark Levin said. He said Vote Romney. Stop McCain. I happen to agree with him. You don’t. Fine. You all doth protest too much.
bttt
Watching MSNBC. Could Pat Buchanan be any more embarrassing?! Trying to sound intelligent, he just said Obama would say “Si, se PURDA” in tonight’s debate. (I bet Huckabee likes Pat, though).
Sounds like fun!!
