RUDY: FLORIDA STRATEGY WILL WIN (Giuliani sucking-up to latinos)
NY POST ^ | January 14, 2008 | CARL CAMPANILE

Posted on 01/14/2008 6:17:21 AM PST by Liz

HAVANA PARTY: Giuliani aboard a vintage firetruck at the Three Kings Parade in Miami's Little Havana.

A fading, cash-strapped Giuliani...all but admitted a defeat here could doom his candidacy. Giuliani courted the influential Hispanic vote in South Florida. His base of support is Florida's Northeastern transplants, and Cuban-Americans. His support has eroded here following poor performances in Iowa and New Hampshire and he is battling a cash crunch ....about a dozen top staffers will not be paid this month to help preserve resources for Florida, and Super Tuesday.

Is Florida another state that allows Dems and independents vote in Republican primaries?

Hey, Joe----Florida voters should factor in that Rudy probably has plans for their highways as he did for Texas.

Here's Rudy Giuliani's idea of "border security."
Giuliani used eminent domain to take US properties from taxpayers and gave them to foreign entities.
(Texas Gov Rick Perry recently endorsed Giuliani's candidacy.)

TEXAS-CANADA-MEXICO TRADE CORRIDOR BROKERED BY Bracewell & Giuliani

DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY MAP----TERRORIST ENTRY POINTS

NEWS STORY Bracewell & Giuliani Firm Advises Cintra in First Privatization of Toll Road in Texas
DALLAS (March 1, 2007) Bracewell & Giuliani LLP (Rudy's Texas-based law firm with global connections) advised Cintra Concesiones de Infraestructuras de Transporte, S.A., a Spanish transportation company, in its successful bid to develop State Highway 121 into a toll road through Collin and Denton counties ("trade road" is four football fields wide). The award to Cintra, approved by the Texas Transportation Commission, is the first privatization of a Texas toll road. Bracewell is acting as project counsel to Cintra with respect to the 50-year concession from the Texas Department of Transportation. Cintra will pay a $2.1 billion upfront and annual lease payments totaling $700 million. "Cintra was awarded this project because of its proven expertise and competitive proposal," said Thomas O. Moore, partner with Bracewell & Giuliani. "This is the largest transportation deal of 2007. This is one of only five deals in the country."

Rooty with one of the gay couple he lived with after abandoning his family.

Giuliani’s pro-gay rights position is so extreme, he advocated stripping away the special legal status of traditional marriage. In 1998, he pushed a municipal ordinance that wiped out all distinctions between married and unmarried couples in New York City law, regardless of their gender.

From Giuliani mayoral archives.

Is there any indication that Dems are re-registering as Repubs for the primary?

I used to enjoy the Three Kings Parade when I lived in Miami. A shame that they allowed it to be spoiled by Rudy 911.

In Florida, the man nicknamed "America's mayor" for his handling of Sept. 11 has a strong base of support among Northeastern transplants and Cuban-Americans.

Rooty, much to his dismay (ha-ha), is going to find out that Florida is more 'Mississippi', than 'Manhattan'. All he has to do is look at FL's state flag to see that.

And let's cut the baloney about the so-called "Northeastern transplants". That's p.c. code-speak for the Jews who've moved to FL and they're going to vote for the Leftist RAT, just like they did when they lived in NYC.

As to the Cubans; contrary to the above tripe Rooty's record as Mayor wasn't exactly 'Hispanic Friendly' even though he gave them sanctuary. It's a known fact that he was viewed by minorities in NYC as a fascist bigot with his P.D. acting like a mini Gestapo. NYC is still dealing with (aka Paying) all the Police Brutality Lawsuits filed by minorities when he was mayor.

Bottom line, Rooty is gonna get bupkis in FL and the only Hispanic votes he'll get in any quantity will be from Illegals and Felons. He'll be out, gone, fini, before Super Tuesday.

ahhh , no.

Hunter is DOA. There are other viable candidates and/or conservatives in the above ron paul candidates.

seriously, hunter does not even have negotiating power to have a speaker spot at the convention. Does he even have a delegate if the convention goes brokered?

FL opened its ballot stations today. Its all or nothing state, so voting for hunter is a waste given the others in the current field.

You vote as you wish.

Giuliani has a serious ground game in FL.

He is pushing absentee ballots and that is VERY serious for those in the nursing homes who need “assistance”.

***** But in this bizarre primary system (where states like Michigan, Wyoming, South Carolina have had their delegate numbers cut in half because they moved up their primaries), if Giuliani wins Florida -- he will be in the lead in delegates by far---while at the same time seeing his national support drop like a rock!!*****

Excuse me for butting in but FL has ALSO cut it's delegates.

Then two big important states Florida and Michigan moved their primaries into January to lessen the impact of Iowa and New Hampshire. But the national parties responded by striping the delegations of their national convention votes. Real Clear Politics

So Rooty winning FL means nada. Only 57 delegates are at stake there now. But he won't win there anyway, McCain is ahead and has been since the 9th in four different polls. Rooty's campaign is now FUBAR.

But that's what he gets and deserves for trying to kick Conservatives to the side and turn the GOP into a Coney Island Freak Show.

That's all well and good. He can play all his NE lib tricks but it won't work. McCain is now leading in FL (since the 9th). Rooty's FL firewall is ablaze. His campaign is FUBAR.

And Rooty and his fellow NE Elites are screwy thinking FL is like some suburb of NY or Disney World. Florida is still 'the deep South'.

I’m a conservative and I will not toss aside my conservative principles in order to vote for liberals like Romney, Gulianni, Huckabee, Mccain, Paul...

The most precious thing I own as an American citizen is my right to vote...

I love America too much, and cherish my right to vote too much to vote for someone who is not a conservative...

I am goinhg to vote for the only conservative running for president, Duncan Hunter...

Believe it or not, this is what I like about Rudy. I would give anything to have a mayor like this in Atlanta. Instead, we have the ACLU & friends (who don’t give a rat about honest citizens) running our city into the dirt.

Rudy might not be the best presidential candidate, but I would at least like to see him over Homeland Security.
