"A third of my generation is dead because of politicians like Giuliani." -- Steven Pokorny, age 28, at Giuliani during meeting in Miami, Sunday, Jan. 13
MIAMI, Jan. 13 /Christian Newswire/ -- Rudy Giuliani was rattled by pro-life advocates and canceled his speech at his first bus-tour event Sunday in Miami. Activists have planned confrontations with Rudy for every stop of his Florida bus tour. Photos available online.
On Sunday, Jan. 13, at approximately 12:15 PM, pro-life activists were in the crowd at The Green Street Cafe (located at 3110 Commodor Plaza, Coconut Grove Florida, just outside Miami) waiting for Giuliani to begin his Florida Bus Tour.
When Rudy Giuliani arrived, Joseph Landry (age 26) was within 5 feet of the candidate, and began yelling: You are a baby killer! You are a baby killer! Florida is pro-life! Rudy wants public funding for abortion!" See news report. Law enforcement officials immediately escorted Mr. Landry from the area, while Mr. Landry continued his monologue.
Within Minutes, Steven Pokorny, age 28, stood to his feet and cried out, "A third of my generation is dead because of politicians like Giuliani! Giuliani wants to kill children and have you pay for it!" Law enforcement did not stop Mr. Pokorny.
At that point, Giuliani left the building, without addressing the crowd.
Mr. Pokorny was able to follow Mr. Giuliani for more than a minute, yelling out about Rudy's pro-choice, pro-homosexual agenda. Again, Mr. Pokorny was not interrupted by police.
Giuliani officials had no idea how many pro-lifers were in the crowd, and how many more times Giuliani would be confronted. This might explain why Mr. Giuliani did not make any remarks - and left the meeting without addressing supporters.
Pro-lifers have scheduled confrontations with Rudy on every stop of his Florida Bus tour.
Video footage of the confrontations with Rudy is available upon request.
As I so aptly pointed out in post 533, from a distance it’s easy to see that Code Pink cares as much for the Iraqis as the Shout’em down protesters care about the abortion issue.
Politics is about appearances.
Code Pink and the Shout Rudy Down crowd appear to be the same crowd, different clothing.
Yep, I'm now more certain than before. The only question is which banned FRiberal you are.
Being pro-life myself I like their enthusiasm to do something, but it would be far better at this point if all Pro-Life folks were united FOR someone.
jw
Please elaborate
“Many of us have sacrificed a good deal for the pro-life cause, and full well know that it’s not about us.
I’ve been involved for over thirty years off and on and well understand exactly who and what we’re fighting for. It is not my only issue of concern, but it is the number one issue, imho.
You really should be careful not to respond to people, on your side of the aisle in such a manner, particularly over something so petty. It’s over the top and alienating and makes pro-lifers look like irrational, crazy people, a label the MSM and others are all to quick to attach us with, btw.”

You and I both know you dont mean a word of that attack on me...
If you were really pro-life and so one-up-man on me, you would NEVER support a pro-abortion candidate like Romney...
Kid, you have no credibility...
REAL pro-life people wont touch Romney with a forty foot pole..
I agree that it is important to unite behind a candidate. The unfortunate reality is that there are two pro-abortion frontrunners and it is necessary to make sure they don’t win the nomination.
There are so many banned FRiberals to pick from it’s hard to know which one. I might have to review the Bug Zapper thread and see which ones were talking about a “right to be heard.”
Yes, I see the logic in that... but I’m afraid the point is moot, if the dems win. Someone like Huckabee, who is certainly pro-life, will lose to Hillary.
We need a strong conservative, through and through.
jw
I agree that we need a strong conservative and I believe the only two choices are Thompson and Hunter. Hunter hasn’t really done anything to get his name out there, so that leaves Fred.
The worst possible scenario would be for a the GOP to nominate a pro-abortion liberal to run against the ‘Rats.
Well, I kinda miss them actually. They help us sharpen our debating skills, and aren’t smart enough to keep from revealing their true causes.
I certainly don't see it that way. He changed his mind on the wording of the law (the exception) after seeing doctors, Planned Parenthood, and others fully exploit the term "health of the mother." His opinion on abortion and his intent did not change.
My opinion is there is enough room in the Republican party for people to change on abortion. My spouse is an example....went from a pro-choice R to a pro-life R. No hypocrisy there.
That is definitely a good thing. But it doesn't change the fact that Reagan was never Pro-abortion or Pro-choice.
Romney did change his attitude ...
There are enough threads debating that one. No need to bring it here.
Some of them were good debaters, some were just plain idiots who thought that anyone with an “R” after their name was a conservative. And they considered themselves conservative simply because they voted Republican.
They all seem to think that Rooty deserves to be president because he was mayor on 9/11. What they won’t pay attention to is the FACT that more innocent Americans die EACH DAY in abortuaries than died on 9/11. More innocent Americans die in abortuaries every two days than have died in the war on terror, including 9/11 deaths. More innocent Americans die in abortuaries EACH YEAR than have died fighting EVERY WAR America has fought in COMBINED.
When the FRiberals start whining about the number of illegal immigrants in the United States, remind them that if we hadn’t killed 50 MILLION babies, there wouldn’t be a shortage of workers.
When the FRiberals start whining about Social Security’s pending insolvency or taxes, remind them that there are 50 MILLION dead Americans who would be paying taxes but can’t because the “pro-choice” crowd killed them.
That isn't at all what I said, or meant, and you know it.
Just for the record, I will repeat what I have said up-thread countless times, and several times directly to you. Code Pink shouts down their political enemies. The Anti-Rudy Crowd also shouts down their political enemies. Both are making a mockery of the First Amendment, and by doing so mock our Founding Fathers who intended the First Amendment to allow free political speech for everyone.
The fact that you must avoid my message reveals to everyone that you realize that you cannot win this argument on the facts, instead you must twist and misrepresent the words of those who oppose you in to have any chance of prevailing.
At least on FR you can't shout me down.
