"A third of my generation is dead because of politicians like Giuliani." -- Steven Pokorny, age 28, at Giuliani during meeting in Miami, Sunday, Jan. 13
MIAMI, Jan. 13 /Christian Newswire/ -- Rudy Giuliani was rattled by pro-life advocates and canceled his speech at his first bus-tour event Sunday in Miami. Activists have planned confrontations with Rudy for every stop of his Florida bus tour. Photos available online.
On Sunday, Jan. 13, at approximately 12:15 PM, pro-life activists were in the crowd at The Green Street Cafe (located at 3110 Commodor Plaza, Coconut Grove Florida, just outside Miami) waiting for Giuliani to begin his Florida Bus Tour.
When Rudy Giuliani arrived, Joseph Landry (age 26) was within 5 feet of the candidate, and began yelling: You are a baby killer! You are a baby killer! Florida is pro-life! Rudy wants public funding for abortion!" See news report. Law enforcement officials immediately escorted Mr. Landry from the area, while Mr. Landry continued his monologue.
Within Minutes, Steven Pokorny, age 28, stood to his feet and cried out, "A third of my generation is dead because of politicians like Giuliani! Giuliani wants to kill children and have you pay for it!" Law enforcement did not stop Mr. Pokorny.
At that point, Giuliani left the building, without addressing the crowd.
Mr. Pokorny was able to follow Mr. Giuliani for more than a minute, yelling out about Rudy's pro-choice, pro-homosexual agenda. Again, Mr. Pokorny was not interrupted by police.
Giuliani officials had no idea how many pro-lifers were in the crowd, and how many more times Giuliani would be confronted. This might explain why Mr. Giuliani did not make any remarks - and left the meeting without addressing supporters.
Pro-lifers have scheduled confrontations with Rudy on every stop of his Florida Bus tour.
Video footage of the confrontations with Rudy is available upon request.
I see a huge difference: Rudy say he is for abortion. No question. Romney says he is against it. At least he is willing to take this stand. I presume you have never changed your mind on issues and you also are against Fred because of his changed positions. A goal of the pro life movement is to get people to chance their minds. I have no interest to further argue with people who see no hope in anyone changing their mind and take such a gloomy outlook.
There’s never anything wrong with telling the truth...
Stop shooting the messager...
Why arent you out there helping them ???????
By that criteria, no politician should be criticized for being pro-abortion.
The first amendment gives you the right to stand in line and ask a question, but not to interrupt!! What about everyone else’s right to hear and speak?
Time and energy is better spent trying to change the Federal State Judiciary and the appointment of conservative judges. The Dems are masters at rigging the courts and have done so very effectively over the course of many years. A bunch of people screaming and waving signs will accomplish nothing.
“There are smarter ways to achieve pro-life objectives.”
Do tell..........
I will never trust ANYTHING that ANY politician says during a campaign when it runs totally contrary to their own record.
Sorry, but my reading of the Constitution does not prohibit Free Speech at political rallies, near buses, outside of buildings, or any other place.
Obviously, in the interest of public safety, I agree with certain limitations, such as not shouting “fire” when there is none.
But the First Amendment is there, first and foremost, to protect the people from being silenced by politicians who would not want to have their “rallies interrupted” by the people.
Maybe so, but this is not helpful for the cause of the pro-life movement. Sorry.
You are seriously misinformed.
We should not trust a person with a lifelong record of liberalism simply because they say what they think we want to hear during a political campaign.”
Allow me to add to your great comment here...
G HW Bush also got the NRA endorsement when he ran the first time. Shortly before he ran for his 2nd term he got pissed at the NRA, tore up his membership card and said he wanted nothing more to do with them.
Well, he got his wish. No endorsement and he lost!
No Republican has EVER been elected without the NRA endorsement and that is something else Rooty and Romney will never get!
You can’t trust liberals!
So, you would consider having a pro-abortion Democrat running against a pro-abortion Republican for president to be helpful to the pro-life movement?
So the partial birth abortion ban didn’t change what was legal and illegal in this country?
The form of this protest will have no effect whatsoever on the outcome of the election except to fire up the hardest core of the pro-abortion contingent.
The first amendment gives you the right to stand in line and ask a question, but not to interrupt!! What about everyone elses right to hear and speak?

Do you go over to DU and tell them how to act when they march and protest ??????
Why are you yelling at people here ???????????
Are you sure these weren’t Ron Paul supporters???
Please. The poster said nothing of the sort. You know very well that there is quite a difference between “accepting” abortion and being smart about how one tries to advance the cause of life.
I’m disappointed in your retort, frankly.
Actually, when the NRA endorsed Reagan in 1980 it was the first time that they had ever endorsed anyone. However, prior to that, there was no real concern about Second Amendment rights being infringed, so your excellent point is well taken.
We live in the day wagglebee, when it is okay as long as the other guy thinks it is okay.
It is called sacrificing principles. If it is okay for them, then why is it bad for me to be just like them?
Sickening.
Same as the case of the pregnant Marine. Her CHILD was about to be born. They say, it was just a fetus.
This whole race is the race of who gets to win, not about principle. Problem is, no one wins.
*sigh*
You can say I’m misinformed, but that doesn’t make it true.
Yours is a prescription for chaos, and *stifles* speech.
