First Walter Reed FReep of the new year!
Arrived around 6:30pm. While we were setting up TrueBlackMan stopped by to pay a visit. Unfortunately he was only able to stay for about 15 minutes ... and let us know that he's getting married! Reply to TrueBlackMan and give him your condolences ... I mean, CONGRATULATIONS! Date is yet to be firmed up. Sometime in October. He wanted you all to know. Ever wonder what we do for for three hours standing on the street corner every Friday night? Well, VictoryNY screams, "WE LOVE OUR SOLDIERS!", all night long. The rest of us talk. Chew the fat. Shoot the breeze. Argue. Debate. FIGHT! But this time we had an agenda. It was time for the Walter Reed primary. Yes, I know you didn't hear anything about the Walter Reed primary. None of the news outlets coverered it. No Chrissy Mathews, Morning Joe, or Campaign Carl. But a primary we did have. I went around and canvassed everyone and asked them who they wanted to represent the Repubic Party in the general election: McCainiac, FRed, Hunter, the cross dressing mayor, magic underwear, RuPaul, or the Huckster. There were a few votes for FRed. But the clear winner was Duncan. He got all our electoral votes which in the grand scheme of things came to a grand total of GOOSE EGG! BufordP

The lefties down the street, still brandishing their "Bring Them Home Now" signs, were having a bad night. Not only have their numbers decreased to the same seven regulars every week, but theyve been completely abandoned by the CodePink hags who started their Walter Reed vigil (picketing the wounded). Medea Benjamin and her hate-America cronies were rumored to be in DC that day to mark the fourth anniversary of CodePinks founding, but they didnt even bother to show up. The remaining handful of union stooges just stand there in the cold old hippies who keep replaying Vietnam-era protests and not understanding why it isnt working this time. Our troops have been engaged in Operation Iraqi Freedom for nearly five years, and none of the 51 attempts to cut funding and "Bring Them Home Now" by Senate and Congressional Tools of Soros have succeeded. To top it off, their poster girl, Hillary Clinton, came in third in the previous days Iowa Caucus against two of the most metrosexual men in public life. Can it get any worse for the village idiots of the global village? Sincerely,
More pics from that night at PleaDeal's and Mrs Trooprally's photobucket albums.
If you can't get to D.C. to join us but would like to do something for the wounded, you can find a wealth of ideas by FReepmailing Albion Wilde, Cindy-True-Supporter, VAFlagwaver, or PleaDeal. Come join us every Friday night between the hours of 6:30pm to approx 9:30pm. Directions to our Walter Reed freep location from the Takoma metro station |

A big THANKS for writing the AAR. Must have been a busy week for you. See you tonight.

To be a FReeper worthy of the name is to be grateful to the DC chapter for its ongoing expression of the respect all honorable Americans hold for the troops and the compassion they hold for those who have paid a harsh price for undertaking that difficult and dangerous work. And for their families.BTTT.
No, it was Post Tramatic Divorce Syndrome.
:-P
Congratulations and best wishes to you and your fiancee!
A passing LEO vehicle noted the return of the MOAB, "Glad to see you folks back."
Hey Kev, she ain’t good enough for you...........*&*&%#@*&^%OUCH OUCH! JUST KIDDING MAN. Congratulations hon, she’s a lucky girl.
Trueblackman demonstrates the triumph of optimisim over ...
A nice endorsement from the DC Chapter for Hunter, and an engagement! Thanks for starting my day of right!
TBM, congrats! Get your football watching and beer drinking in while you can!!!
And THANK you to all the DC freepers who do great work day after day, year after year.
Too bad the public isn’t as educated as those at Walter Reed. And to think how McCain’s Vietnam service is a large part of his appeal. No one seems to realize we could have a reliable conservative like Duncan Hunter be our first President to have served in Vietnam and what a President he would be!
I sit at home and waste time reading your silly reports, that's what I do.
Just kidding. :-)
Don’t forget ten times is a charm!!
FReepmail me to be added to / deleted from this once-weekly ping list.
That’s great about TrueBlackMan and his bride.
Wonderful about Duncan Hunter. As long as there is breath in me; I will be fighting for him.
BTTT
We’ll see you guys on Friday.
Dress warm.
I am packing the world. Let’s pray for no wind. It looks like some snow might be on the menu.
Yes!
