Republican Presidential Candidate Debate #15 Myrtle Beach, SC 01/10/08 - Official Discussion Thread
Watch the Republican presidential primary candidates debate in Myrtle Beach, S.C., live on FOX News Channel and FOXNews.com at 9 p.m. ET.
“Kermit sure looks like Ron Paul. :)”
And sounds like Alan Keyes.
Fred has looked and sounded great tonight, imo.
This from Rich Lowry at NRO ~
Finally! [Rich Lowry]
Someone besides Romney says a discouraging word about Sen. McCain. But Fred’s jab on immigration was very gentle. Fred can eat into Huck’s support in SC, but can he beat McCain? Does he want to? Or to put it more precisely, does he want to do the things necessary to do it? I wonder. All of this is lining up beautifully for McCain, and tonight is just another indication of that.
Ron Paul is the big loser according to the focus group...hahahaha.
I think “Big Loser” sums it up perfectly for the personality too. Can’t stand the guy and I stick by my previous statement: Obama and Hillary would keep us safer than that kook. Sure they really suck but I would feel safer from an attack with them, they might have something to prove.
Paul just flat out tells us we shouldn’t fight back against those who want to kill us. That guy strikes fear in my heart.
McCain keeps trying to pretend that THE FENCE is our only concern on immigration.
No, my friend. It’s the path to citizenship we despise. You’ll have to address that eventually [I just hope it’s before the media coronates you!).
I'd like for it to be FRED! Let's roll!!
sw
Right. Most said they were plants. And we know at least one was.
As others have stated, I wish Duncan Hunter had been invited.
For a minute,
then he went to illegal immigration bs and lost it again.
Yeah and I heard Fred tonight say that the S.C. Right to Life endorsed him! Woo Hoo, Go FRED!
GREAT PRAYER and I pray with you!
I don’t think a roundup is necessary, all they need to do is enforce a $100,000 fine and loss of business for hiring illegals....start with the fast food conglomerates and the problem is solved, build a fence and its game over and the economy takes a boost
I’m proud of my state, especially tonight.
The reason that might happen is that Evangelicals haven’t been given another viable choice. Giuliani, Romney and McCain are nonstarters do to their stances and/or history of social liberalism. Fred could get our support but doesn’t act like he want us (he didn’t even bother to attend the Values Voter Debate for example) - he could have come out as our champion tonight by attacking Guiliani’s social liberalism. Instead, he seemed to blame the split in the Republican party entirely on the Huckabee supporters (Evangelicals). So, basically, the reason that many Evangelicals are leaning towards Huckabee is that he seems to be the only front runner who actually cares about ending abortion or protecting marriage.
Fred’s going to make his fundraising goal. On to victory in SC!!
Fox voting puts Thompson last on their list
Aren’t they in alphabetical order?
Fred will be on shortly. Sean said earlier today on radio that he would have each candidate on after the debate. Fred won the debate for sure! GO FRED!
SHOUT away!! Off to contribute to Fred now!! Come on Freepers!
“wow!fox actually has a room full of post-debate people who have a majority in favor of Fred, not that that in its self is amazing,,its just that fox would show them that schocks me”
Exactly...the camera’s didn’t fail...what!?
Fred Won!!!!
I got the wheels ready....
