This website is dedicated to telling the totally true story of John Ziegler's experience at KFI in Los Angeles. John realizes that the creation of this website probably ends any chance that he will ever again hit the highest levels of talk radio and may very well end his talk radio career totally. But he is at peace with that potential consequence because he feels there are certain truths that are worth the risk to tell, especially when you are really the only person in the world in a position to do so.
This website is devoted to one of those truths. Specifically, that the talk radio industry (and particularly KFI) is dominated by freaks, fakes, frauds and phonies who tend to make crack whores seem respectable and reputable by comparison.
On this website you read and hear compelling and exclusive evidence that:
* The John & Ken Show is fundamentally fraudulent and makes professional wrestling seem credible in comparison * John Kobylt is the main reason that John Ziegler is no longer at KFI * John Kobylt made one of the most racist statements ever made by a person in his position and, in the opinion of John Ziegler, is a racist. * Ken Chiampou is presumed to be a homosexual by nearly everyone at KFI and why that should matter to KFI listeners. * There is a lot that John & Ken don't want you to know about how they do their show and determine what they are going to say * Bill Handel is a fair-weathered “friend” who hates John & Ken but who committed one of the most massive acts of hypocrisy imaginable after strangely going out of his way to defend John Kobylt * KFI management is utterly incompetent and corrupt * John Ziegler is hardly perfect and not talented enough to be a success doing KFI's brand of deceptive talk. * At the end of John Ziegler's tenure at KFI things got so absurd that they were absolutely comical
It’s a shame Zig is truly done now, I really liked listening to his show.
Still, if this helps to bring down Kobylt and Handel by exposing them for the scumbags they apparently are, it’s worth it.
Although I do not agree with Zig on everything, he is a decent sort, and John&Ken have seemed to be more and more in recent times swarmy opportunists

John & Ken got blown out of conservative San Francisco KSFO radio a few years ago as political conservative frauds after a couple of months IIRC.
Listeners were starting to threaten open revolt & demonstrations before management finally cut the cord.
I lived in SoCal from 2000 to 2006, covering the banning and return of J&K, and the coming of Ziegler to late night and then PMs. I was a big fan of both shows, this should be interesting to read. I hope Ziegler lands on his feet in another market.
But, there are worse radio companies out there.
I use to live in the Boston area, and the quality of their radio has fallen substantially.
Again, from reading the blogs, etc., since they fired people that knew how to cover the local scene, the home office management told them to do more local stories, but all the professional radio people have moved on, and so they're reduced to hiring print journalists that may or may not be a fit for radio.
For the most part, me too. It's been clear to me for quite some time now that Handel and Kobylt are, at their core, nothing more than messianic, backstabbing, declasse scum and racist bigots who have somehow managed to find their way in the talk radio business and make a go of it. Zig is well to be away from them.

That’s very common, especially in government where I work. If you excel, it makes others look bad and that’s not always a career-enhancing situation.

I used to listen to the John and Ken Show here in the Philly area when they were at New Jersey 101.5 during the Jim Florio administration (circa 1990). They were instrumental in promoting the “Hands Across New Jersey” protest of Florio’s massive tax hikes and ultimately getting Florio defeated after a single term.
They’ve been gone from here for a long time, and I have no idea what’s going on at KFI (I take it that’s in Los Angeles?) but it sounds like they got a little big for their britches.

JZ to return to LA airwaves on January 14th
Story John Ziegler will return to the Los Angeles radio airwaves on Monday January 14th. Ziegler will be doing short commentaries that will be heard at 7:20 am and 4:20 pm on KGIL 1260 AM (Los Angeles) and 540 AM(Orange/San Diego Counties). The commentaries will be heard each week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and are made possible by Mostly Windows and Doors (www.mostlywindowanddoors.com).
The commentaries will also be placed on the KGIL website, which is linked below.

John Ziegler is the BEST! His truthful take on news events, both local and national is real. Not canned, not for ratings. He is Everyman, but with intelligence and also humor.
