Los ganadores de las elecciones primarias en el estado de New Hampshire, Hillary Clinton (demócrata) y John McCain (republicano), apoyan una reforma migratoria que incluya una vía de legalización para la mayoría de los indocumentados que vivan en Estados Unidos.
Pero han advertido que para ello, quienes califiquen deberán cumplir requisitos, entre ellos hablar inglés, pagar multas y carecer de antecedentes criminales, entre otros.

As a Christian, I wonder about John 10:1.

People are forgetting that the Presidential election is not occuring in a vacuum. McCain heading the ticket could depress conservative turnout, having an effect on the House and Senate races. I believe we have more Pubs up for re-election (and in danger of being replaced) than the Dums do. And if they push for amnesty right after the election, no one will feel much pressure to vote according to their constituency's will--there will be time for the sheeple to "forget" before the next election.
This is also why any conservative who thinks they can bring about the coming of the next Reagan by teaching our party and the country " a lesson" and giving them Jimmy Carter redux had better get that notion out of their head immediately and start fighting like there's no tomorrow--because there might not be one.

True....but not to be ignored is the fact that amnesty/open borders advocate George P. Bush has chosen to team up with Fred Thompson. I suspect there is more the FDT’s illegal immigration plan than meets the eye...what has and isn’t being said, rather than what is being said now.
All of the neutral economists that have studied illegal immigration have proven that the impact is a small net negative in the short term. That leaves the uncertainty of continued illegal migration. Giving incentive to break our laws and putting the US on an uncertain long term, spending crisis is nuts. Plus the first people to get cut in business cycles are low skilled labor. We swell our natural unemployment and we grow our entitlement costs.
And at the heart of the problem is McCain and his double talk express—he want hispanic votes and he wants Republican votes—his immigration stance shatters his spending stance.
Liberals and moderates chose McCain. He lost those that strongly support Iraq. And he won those that strongly oppose Iraq. Same with the economy. He won those that oppose tax cuts!! Government spending in 1998 to 2000 was roughly 18% of GDP while revenue was 20% of GDP. There was no reason to avoid tax cuts during a recession and during a war! McCain voted against tax cuts.

Do think it is fine to let robbers into your neighbors house as well. Charity is for people to perform, NOT GOVERNMENTS. You want to help illegals, take 'em into your own house, but don't offer up mine as well which is EXACTLY what you are doing on a national scale. What do you call someone who gives away something that is not his to give? In your attempt at Christian charity (a very good thing BTW), you are committing an act of evil by imposing on the rest of a us a burden you have chosen for yourself, and that is not Christian, that is communism. I think most of us here have the ability to define what charitable acts we want to perform on our own. And what is this nonsense about hedonistic American citizens being replaced by their betters? As long as we live in the world of men, it is imperative that we follow the laws set up by society up to the point that they are in complete defiance of God's law, and then we are to defy man's law and accept the consequences. I recall that Jesus said to "render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's and render unto God that which is God's". Christian charity is God's law set by his law to love one another. Immigration is man's law and is set by the will of the people by a government comprised of the same. Know the difference!

I wish we could get some of those "God fearing immigrants" here. The immigrants we get here, in Dalton, are those who have no problem breaking into my country and stealing my tax dollars. Don't be foolish enough to believe you can get to Heaven by turning our country into a cesspool. God does not want that. If you feel sorry for those who have destroyed their countries, go help them straighten out their countries. Don't force the scum on me.
