Conservatives need to show their support for Romney now. I sent $50—I know it isn’t much—today. He’s the only viable conservative left in this race. It is looking more and more like Fred Thompson is just a stalking horse for McCain—enters the race, distracts conservatives, does nothing, drops out, endorses McCain. Phooey on that.

This is best explained as Mormons voting for Romney because he claims to be Mormon, not because Romney is staunchly conservative. If I were a Mormon, Romney would give every indication of being a hypocrite and phony. Hypocrites and phonies can tremendous damage to any religion and are an atheists favorite ploy.

If Romney wasn't Mormon, he would have almost no support among Idaho Republicans. I'm sure that he is doing great in Northern Utah, um...I mean, Southern Idaho.
