This is the headline Yahoo is running on it's "In the News".
ABC's headline for the video is "U.S. health care on the Decline"
The ABC report is biased enough without Yahoo's added editorial.

Better for old to kill themselves than be a burden, says Warnock
Yeah, let's hear it for socialized medicine.
That's easy - if the patient hasn't died yet, it's elective.
Well, there’s another agenda there.
When 2nd trimester babies start being “saved” - that puts the whole question of “viability” into play, and threatens late term abortions.
But those they'll pay for, I'll bet....
Yes, but you are stating facts. As a publik scewl teechur, I am supposed to indoctrinate all of my students into the Bush is evil loony left. I must lie to them, just like Teddy the waitress sandwich Kennedy wrote No Child Left Behind and everybody blames Bush for NCLB.
The physicians usually. If the member doesn’t agree, they’re free to pay for it themselves at a private hospital, go to the US and pay for it, or as sometimes happens, show up in an ER in the US complaining of chest pain and get it for nothing.
As an example, consider the following hypothetical scenario in which we are measuring the "improvement" or reduction of some bad characteristic:
The beginning numbers are as follows:
US: 25 bad incidents
Austrailia: 100 bad incidents
Europe: 80 bad incidents
Japan: 60 bad incidents
After the "improvements" the numbers are as follows:
US: 24 bad incidents (only a 4% improvement)
Austrailia: 80 bad incidents (a whopping 20% improvement)
Europe: 70 bad incidents (a 12% improvement)
Japan: 50 bad incidents (a 16% improvement)
Thus, the US only had a 4% reduction in these bad incidents compared to an average of 16% improvement for the other countries studied, so the US is the "worst" even though its actual rate of the bad incidents is less than half of that of the next closest country, and less than a third of that of the country that showed the greatest improvement.
I am not suggesting that these are the actual numbers or ratios for the preventable deaths per capita or whatever measure is used for the various countries. I am pointing out how a particular measure can be highlighted in a research study to distort reality. This news story takes a statistic but fails to provide any context to substantiate the conclusion that the statistic is used to support.
“Yes, but you are stating facts. As a publik scewl teechur, I am supposed to indoctrinate all of my students into the Bush is evil loony left. I must lie to them, just like Teddy the waitress sandwich Kennedy wrote No Child Left Behind and everybody blames Bush for NCLB.”
He signed it and had Kennedy on stage with him.
Bush is a socialist fool, and incompetent at fighting the dems. When he lucks out, the koolaiders call it “strategery.”
It’s like tripping over a crack, and saying, “I meant to do that!”
Imagine the outcry if there was a 1 year wait for the “elective surgery” of abortion...
Part of Hillarycare was to make this illegal, giving jail terms for the doctor and patient who made this arrangement.
Very good analysis, VRWCmember. This “study” is a textbook example of how to lie with statistics.
If you are over 60 and go to a Dutch hospital you chances of leaving alive are very low. Euthanasia is practiced with extreme prejudice.
Under free-market health care, the more patients the more revenue for the doctors.
It wouldn't stop them. Postnatal abortions are common in China.
I must agree wholeheartedly. Consider the stupid war on cholesterol for example. The real problem is not cholesterol it's triglycerides. They all know it, but fear sells lots of drugs. After stuffing it's population full of Lipitor and other statins, which all cause muscle pain from decreased oxygen delivery. Indoctinated primary care providers prescribe statins that in turn cause muscle pain from ischemia of a cardiac nature. Conservatively, 40-50K fatal Heart Attacks occur each year in patients on statins.
I'm leaving tonight to have yet another doctor caused tumor mass removed. I pray that nothing new or dangerous is found. I pray the surgeon doesn't want to get back at me for telling the truth. If I'm not posting for more than 4 days, send this notice to my wife Shari at this Freep mail. Please, if you have a mind to pray for me, it would be most welcome.
FRegards, DrMike PS Never stop fighting for a Free Republic!
So are you saying that their system is superior to the US?
It is if you measure it by life expectancy......just think how much higher it might be without euthanasia.
US Worst in Healthcare: Except for all the others
Okay, how bout: “US Life Expectancy Lags Behind France”?

The usual. Quantity over quality. Form over substance.
The level of care is crummy. But we all have it. Not counting the “leaders,” of course.
