I live in CA, so my vote will go to whom I think should be president. Although when it comes down to that choice (for you swing states), I say you go Republican...unless it’s Rudy.
If it’s Rudy, then our party is going to be hammered. Anyone else, is ten times better than Hillary.
Here’s how I would Rank things.
Hillary 0
Rudy 1
McCain 2
Huckabee 3
Romney 4
Fred/Hunter 8
Perfection doesn’t exist, imo.

anyone is willing to abandon our military, or our safety Exactly. To not vote and perhaps allow her or Obama in is to let the troops down IMO.
Either one of those two wackos will increase the chance of war and increased military deaths. I'm not willing to allow that to happen by sitting out and not voting.

“What makes you think a chief justice appointed by a pro abortion rino would look any different?”
We’ve had even our good ole’ Reagan pick a not-so-good judge; but I agree, a rhino pick certainly will put us in a weird position. Especially Rudy...yuck.
I don’t know what I’ll do in the generals, if it’s not Fred. As a conservatives, we have to assert ourselves more into the election process....or our causes will be marginalized.

That is a great reminder. Our military is fighting for other people to have the freedom to vote for the candidate of their choosing to lead them. In 2000, my right to vote was taken from me by a corrupt local and possibly state official who lost or misplaced or whatever my voter registration until two weeks after the election. Has anyone done more than talk about ensuring that American citizens who play by the rules are allowed to vote and that vote fraud is rooted out immediately?

For all Freepers who plan to stay home on election day to teach the GOP a lesson! Romans 6:1-2
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Do you plan to support sin that grace maybe, perchance, possible may abound sometime in the future?
There is some candidates that will never see my vote....
Romans 3:8 (King James Version)
And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.
Would you support evil that perhaps maybe some good may come of it? Just want is your damnation worth to you?
Paul wrote, "Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil" (Rom. 12:9)
My mother met McCain in person a few years ago, she said he gave her the most hateful look when she mentioned face to face with him that we wanted him to keep God in government if elected. One must know, we don't plan on being hypocrites come election day.

Obama is the one that has me up at nights...his is a lethal combination of charismatic energy, leftist economic theory, ethnocentric symbolism, and suicidal pacifistic humanism. Any Republican is far superior to this nightmare.

Personally, I'm voting for Fred or Hunter, planning of doing whatever I can to help them get the nomination.(IMO-Fred/Duncan are the BEST candidates to deal with the WOT- hands down). That said, for the "stay home " crowd-
What part of:
"WE'RE GOING TO TAKE THINGS AWAY FROM YOU FOR THE COMMON GOOD"-H. Clinton

I wondered when I would start seeing the use of threats to keep people voting GOP. Of late I don’t see where we would be taking much less of a screwing by voting them in once again. Oh....I will probably go and do it again, but I really don’t have to like it. We need a new Bull Moose Party candidate. Gotta wonder when people are going to be fed up enough to actually give a good third party candidate a real chance?

I'm gonna go with good on a few issues
Yup...and the WOT is one of those in a major way.
Sure is. And as far as it goes in Iraq, Afghanistan and the region, I'm with you. Now, what about our nation. Are you aware that a significant portion of the 09/11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia? Did you know that the Bush administration has allowed upwards of 70,000 education visas to Saudi nationals at this very moment?
Why is it that you and your family can't get on an airliner in the United States without being scanned, taking off your shoes and being strip searched if the minimum wage airport authority staff didn't get a good night's sleep? Could it be because our President has simply refused to protect this nation from potentional terrorists from outside our nation? Could it be because he is allowing our nation to be overrun by God knows how many people from south of our border? Could it be because many of those people are criminals intent on preying on U.S. Citizens, and our President doesn't give a flying fig?
I've gotten to the place where I avoid flying if at all possible. Is that the nation we want to live in? Evidently so, because once again we are poised to vote in another diehard liberal from the left, or a guy who hasn't a clue when it comes to the other 75% of the spectrum that he should be well versed on.
The image of Hillary as Commander in Chief standing and speaking before our armed forces as "Hail to the Chief" is played in her honor...EGADS.
Yes, and while you're at it remember that the current president is the one who signed an order to destroy something like 75% of our nuclear arsenal after it had already been slashed during previous administrations.
I would crawl over broken glass and vote for ANY GOP candidate to avoid such a horror.
And while you're doing it, just remember that due to failed policies, you'll be crawling over that glass to vote in someone who will take more of your civil liberties away the very moment after the next terrorist attack perpetrated by those the current shmuck let come into our nation.
You folks may think we're unrealistic. Frankly, I think you folks are ignoring an awful lot when you state that you'll vote for anyone just because they refuse to re-register in the party that supports the majority of their agenda.

This time, that same old tired argument that you have to vote for a Republican even if (R-Hell) is after his name, will fall upon the deaf ears of millions of Conservatives in November, if it turns out that way.
They are already cranking up that machine here on FR. They did four and eight years ago.
Many people listened.
They don't want "Son of G.W. Bush Compassionate Conservatism", nor their vote going to affirm such lamebrain policies, so I predict this scare tactic will be dismissed on its face--if a RINO is shoved in our faces for November.

My God, you express your concern about the WOT, but you would honestly consider not voting?
Look, I support Fred, too, or Duncan Hunter, better yet, but I could NEVER run the risk of our military folks EVER having to call Hillary, or Obama, Commander-In-Chief! Get a grip, man.
Of course it’s frustrating, but it’s like I told everyone after we lost the election in ‘04, conservatives have to totally rebuild. It’s a gradual, time consuming process and won’t happen in one election cycle. That election cost us a whole, whole lot.

I will vote for a candidate who is not a socialist. Someone who is not for taxation to redistribute wealth; centralized social programs; or the control/regulation of private property for the benefit of the majority. I will vote for the candidate who is for the protection of individual liberty; the devolution of self government to the most local level; the protection of the integrity of private property; the use of education and incentives (not restrictive regulation) to accomplish public goals.
If the democrat or republican candidates don’t qualify, then I will look to vote for someone who does.

I suggest you re read the charter of Free Republic.
You and I joined not too far apart, coming up on ten years now.
Has it ever occurred to you that you are posting on an INDEPENDENT CONSERVATIVE FORUM and not a REPUBLICAN PARTY FORUM??
Sorry, them's the facts. You are free to dispute it, though.
