Hours before the voting started in New Hampshire today, the Hillary Clinton campaign was on the verge of implosion. At least that's what the Clinton campaign wanted us to believe.
The polls showed Barack Obama heading for a knockout blow against the inevitable Democratic presidential nominee. Hillary got teary eyed and her voice choked in a rare public display of emotion. Word was leaked that her campaign staff was going to be shaken up, that her campaign funding was in trouble and that pressure was mounting for her to drop from the race.
Tonight Hillary "stunned" the political world with a victory that seemed improbable this morning when the latest polls showed her down 13%.
We've been down this road before with the Clintons. They are masters of deception, feeding the media garbage that they breathlessly regurgitate and then marvel at how the Clintons beat the low expectations they set for themselves.
When then President Bill Clinton testified before a federal grand jury in the Monica Lewinsky case, the Clinton camp spread a tale of Bill Clinton flying into a 'purple rage' during his testimony.
Later, when videotape of his testimony revealed that he actually kept his cool, the media ignored the lies it had been fed and celebrated Clinton's coolness under fire.
The Clintons did it again tonight. Hillary's tears were as real as Bill's purple rage. All the while the media went with the story the Clintons wanted told about her diminished prospects in New Hampshire, their political machine was getting ready to put the shiv in Obama.
There was no way the Clintons were going to let Obama win. There will be stories of ballot shortages and other shenanigans, but that's all they'll be--stories told by embittered losers.
Welcome to the big leagues, Obama and the nut roots. As Johnny Rotten so famously asked, "Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?"
Thats the truth. Obama’s first introduction to the cheating Clinton Machine.
We are being led by the nose all over again.
Gee, they lied. Go figure.
Guess who is rigging the game, people!
If I were a conspiracy minded person, I would really wonder. I don’t hold credence to exit polls, but the whole, running out of ballots and having the secretary of state hand deliver more was really odd.
I don’t understand. Were all the pollsters in on this deception, too? Or were they proven to be incredibly stupid once again?
So all the polls...ALL of them...including Fox..were rigged? Come on...
Obama is a Daley Machine Representitive....he ain’t a virgin on prom night.
Ugh...we're back in the 90's.
The lies, deception, scandals, manipulations, darkness of the Clintons.
President Bush has been such a blessing.
Hey honey, who do you think just won, and who do you think told you that the polls all said was going to win?
LOL! Those of us who know the Clintons oh, so well are the last to be surprised at this one. The new kid just had his lunch stolen. He better get used to it.
He got a rope-a-dope. Thats for sure.
Hey guys don’t believe all this conspiracy crap - we all know that only Karl Rove is capable of walking on water and dreaming up such a fabulous scenario.
Hillary does not stand a chance!
Any Freepers remember the TV series "The Paper Chase?"
The Paper Chase was premiered on the 7th of September 1978 and lasted on the 9th of August 1986. The series was based on a movie of which was also based on a 1970 novel of the same title written by John Jay Osborn. It has four seasons with fifty-eight episodes. The series won best new drama for the year 1978.
It was a classroom drama following the lives of law school students. The series focuses with Charles W. Kingsfield portrayed by John Houseman, a contract law professor and his student James Hart portrayed by James Stephens who idolizes him.
It is not going to work for Hillary Clinton in the general elections. She is the most unlikable and meanest candidate to run for President in decades and for this alone she is not going to win the Presidency.
Nah, Obamas poll watchers would be able to spot any funny business.
Three months ago they all showed a huge lead for Hillary. They were all wrong then. This is and always was a very close race. Oprahs endorsement gives Obama the big edge, so the Clintons are now going to employ every trick in the book. My guess is lots a fraud in New Hampshire. A small state that voted for the Republican Fall Guy and the Democratic Queen Bee. The Dinos/Rinos will through in a third party if their Fall Guy falters. Both Hillary and McNugget have more political lives then humanly possible.
You already gave up and made Hillary Clinton the President? Come on!
What also doesn’t make since is the independents didn’t vote democrat, they came out strong for McCain. To my limited understanding they were the wild card that would not of shown up in the polls.
