Antonio Izquierdo, 38, of 40 LaMancha Drive, in Palm Coast, was charged with two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
Izquierdo teaches math and fashion merchandising classes at Flagler Palm Coast High School, where he has been employed for 1½ years. The alleged victim is a student at Flagler Palm Coast High School, officials told Local 6 News.

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office said it launched an investigation after the alleged victim came forward during the holiday school break to report Izquierdo's alleged behavior. Flagler County school classes resumed Monday, but Izquierdo was out sick, according to a sheriff's report. Flagler County School Superintendent Bill Delbrugge said Izquierdo has been suspended, pending the outcome of the investigation.
"This is an unfortunate occurrence. However, our community should know that this school district conducts an extensive background investigation on every faculty member before anyone is placed into a classroom. In this instance, there were no indications of any problems with this teacher," Delbrugge said. The investigation is ongoing.
"We are asking anyone who feels they may have been victimized by inappropriate actions by Izquierdo to please come forward by contacting our Criminal Investigations Division. This man was placed in a position of trust and he violated that trust," Flagler County Sheriff Donald W. Fleming said.
“No wonder I’ve told my kids since they started schoolnever let any male teachers touch you and beware of any men acting like a woman.”
If you have boys, you’re gonna have to warn them too...about the beautiful, married, female teachers in the middle schools who like those 14 yr. old boys.
Fashion merchandising in that part of the state means working as a clerk at Wal Mart. Palm Beach it aint...
I used to sub a lot at one particular high school in the ghetto that offered a Fashion Design class.90% of the students were girls and the remainder of the class were persons of the male gender.Yet only very technically fitting that description.If you catch my drift.
It was a real joke because this school was and still is in the lowest 1% academically in the State of California.Fashion Design was a place to put those girls who had big dreams about being”purchasers”for major department stores but will be lucky to end up stocking Walmart shelves.

The ones that get me are the "I can't see him as a victim" posts or "if it were my daughter I'd beat the teacher to death, but my son gets an award..., well girls can get pregnant..." A child is a child and deserves to be protected, regardless of gender, and when an adult makes sexual advances on a child, it's abuse whether the child thinks they enjoyed it or not.
Trust me when I say being introduced to sex before one is ready as a child doesn't necessarily equate to the experience to be that much farther ahead in the game when adolescence and adulthood kick in.
Add me to the ping list, if you wouldn't mind. I do have a sense of humor usually and use sarcasm far too much to maintain peace in my own home so I can usually take that as well.

I went to school in England and when we went the boys did things like motor engineering certainly not fashion.
I don’t have to warn them about women tachers in their 20’s as much as I do about a raving homosexual teacher that’s for sure.
Hopefully he gets banged away(no pun intended) and that fashion class can be ditched so the boys can actually do a boy class like engineering or motor mechanics.
Saying that the school officlas will probably think of a new class like sewing for boys or something

When I was in school,boys took shop and girls took Home Economics.
Now its all mixed up and there is no sex role differentation at all.Lesbian and gay teachers abound and they are very up front about their preferences.

I was actually on a site called city data , it’s a relocation site but it seems if you say anything negative about new England go against global warming or even go against the liberal thinking you get banned for no reason.
anyway I thought I needed to find a site which has more like minded thinking people and I found this site.

same as us in school the girls had home economics,.
Now the girls are starting to look like boys and the boys are looking like girls.
I watched clinton giving her speech last night on the TV and there was a person I say a person as the wife and I could not figure if it was a boy or a girl.

yes - I’m going to assume that when you combine a young boy electing to take fashion, as being taught by a man - the risk factor definitely goes up.
