Mitt Romney is facing an unexpected challenge in Iowa from rival Mike Huckabee, who has enjoyed a groundswell of support from religious voters, particularly evangelical Christians wary of the clean-cut former Massachusetts governor because of his Mormon religion.
The common worry among evangelicals is that if Romney were to capture the White House, his presidency would give legitimacy to a religion they believe is a cult. Since the LDS church places heavy emphasis on proselytizing -- there are 53,000 LDS missionaries worldwide -- many mainstream Christians are afraid that Mormon recruiting efforts would increase and that LDS membership rolls would swell.
...
THE ONLY PROBLEM with those fears is that they don't add up. Evangelicals may be surprised to learn that the growth of church membership in Massachusetts slowed substantially during Romney's tenure as governor. In fact, one could make the absurdly simplistic argument that Romney was bad for Mormonism.
...
ONE WAY TO GAUGE what might happen under a President Romney would be to look at what happened during the period of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Held in Salt Lake City, they were dubbed the "Mormon Olympics."
...
Despite all the increased attention, worldwide the Church grew only slightly, and in fact in the year leading up to the games the total number of congregations fell. Overall, from 2000 to 2004, there was a 10.9 percent increase in memberships and a 3.6 percent increase in congregations.
...
The LDS church is likely to continue its current modest-but-impressive growth whether or not Romney wins the White House. Perhaps the only real worry for evangelicals is that, if elected, the former Massachusetts governor will demonstrate to Americans that Mormons don't have horns.

No one wonders why - what we wonder is WHY you waste your time talking to religious people?
It appears to me that your problem is that you have no space in your theology for UNANSWERED prayer.
HA Ha ha!
Click the mouse button a few times, it won't hurt you.
No thanks; the jury will note that the opposing counsel is lazy and does not want to defend what he has claimed.
How Mormon's deal with data presented to them by those they call ANTI's:
1. How you interpret it is wrong...

Not quite...
Mormons against the Huckster, who are not bigoted
Yet another failure by the defense to show proof.
THANK YOU!!! The link you provided is most interesting and I plan to read it all when I have time. I also plan to share with likeminded friends.
It was simply a gradual disbelief in small things until there was nothing left.
I try and take as little on faith as I can. I try to follow where the preponderance of evidence leads.
~”I think we should start a group:
Evangelicals against the Huckster , who are not bigoted”~
There are quite a few of you out there. Wouldn’t hurt to start organizing to counteract the fools who misrepresent you.
My pleasure.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. If you think my purpose is to sway or influence you anti Mormon Cabal members then your question would be valid.
My purpose is to help make you look foolish and try and shine a little light on your beliefs and how hollow they are. If the PM that I get is any indication, then I am succeeding beyond my expectations.
I also find it interesting trying to understand how single minded zealots like yourself try to perceive reality. What makes a suicide bomber tick? It seems to be an ability to focus and ignore parts of the real world that don't fit into your preconceived mental map.
My question is why do you waste your time attacking the Mormon faith? The primary rule of advertising is to not mention the competitor, unless you are the unknown product. Every post you and your fellow Cabal members make simply promotes the Mormon cause. Are you insane?
I would like to be the first on this thread to congratulate Mitt Romney, an upstanding/moral man for his victory in
Floriday tonight. Romney, despite the efforts of all his haters, pulled out an impressive win. To all of those disappointed “in your friggin’ face”. lol. When ya’ll mourn for awhile we’ll take ya back into the fold. No probs.
Excellent point. I keep bringing up the fact that I've seen the same tired ol' bashers on the Mormon bashing Polemic threads over in the religious department for 10 years now and not once has one been able to mark a notch on their Kingeth Jameth for a successful conversion.
I seriously doubt that evangelism is the motivation anyway I think its just a venting outlet.
Yes, quite the extensive fairy ‘tail’ Joe plagarized together to garner his empowerment.
At the time, Romney said he didnt ‘line up with the NRA.’ But when he decided to run for president, Romney signed up for a lifetime membership in the National Rifle Association.
Ive been a Life NRA Member for years.
What disappoints me the most about Mitt Romney is he appears to be a slick opportunist. To become a Life NRA Member when you decide to run for President, for the sake of pure political expediency is quite frankly disgusting.
This shifting of political positions (gay marriage, guns, murder through abortion) demonstrates a foundation of quicksand instead of solid bedrock. This is by a man now in his 60’s, not some kid in their early 20’s. We dont need a President who is trying to decide which side of major moral issues are right and just - the Holy Bible provides a sure foundation on moral issues that is solid and never to be compromised.
I will not vote for Mr. Romney.
Sorry that won't fly...as I've been saying since day one...it's the PERCENTAGE that matters. Because what LD$, Inc. gives away to charity isn't even a drop in the ocean, in comparison to their NET income.
Sorry, Im not playing your game.
And we both know why, don't we. You don't want to come to grips with what LD$, Inc. is all about. Because it's easier not knowing....
There are no plates, so you are trying to present something that isn't verifiable as fact - assuming that the bom is real. Circular logic at its best.
