This country has gone freakin' insane.
He’s really a libertarian who is just using the Republican Party.
I rather have Paul finish third in NH than McAmnesty finish first.
Wonder how many Indy voters Paul will take from McAmnesty?
This is setting up to be a bad day for McAmnesty. Much to the dismay of the MSM
Based on what we’ve learned about Ron Paul throughout the last several months, I’d take great offense to that if I were a libertarian ;)
I think Paul will not take many independent voters from McQueeg because of the war issue—they’re polar opposites on it. A pro-war independent is not going to vote for the anti-war Paul, and an anti-war independent is not going to vote for the pro-war Washington insider McQueeg. I can’t see their respective voter pools having much of an intersection.

Can’t have it both ways, although CNN would have you believe otherwise.
If its ‘record turn out’ and if ‘democrats have run out of ballots’ that bodes well for Obama, and probably Romney.
Obama is the ‘current favorite flavor’ like McCain was in 2000, with Independent voters. We’ve all seen the polling data on this, we’ve all seen the first wave of reports from New Hampshire.
If this is all true, then Independents are breaking for Obama in a BIG way. That means Hillary loses, by a large amount, as many expected after Iowa.
But conversely, those Independents breaking for Obama were the ‘base’ for John McCain in 2000. Without them, Bush would have won that primary in 2000.
CNN seems to be trying to have its cake and eat it too here. It can’t be both Obama is kicking ass with Independents AND John McCain is winning.
Hopefully, the revelations of Paul’s anti-semetic and rascist rantings will remove him from public discourse.
Of course, the anti-war left probably likes the anti-Israel, anti-Jew stuff.
LOL! The Spambots got to the voting booths!!!!
Any antiwar independent can vote for Paul if they like.
If he were running third in a state with a closed primary, one could argue that the country has gone insane.
In reality, every nut in NH is voting for him, padding his numbers.
Maybe. But remember, this is New Hamshire. Do not think that Iowa and New Hampshire reflect how this country feels.
Paul should enjoy himself now, if he indeed ends up third. It is probably the last good news he gets this election cycle.
Remember that prediction thread, I’m going to be pretty close, I predicted Paul being high on the chart because of all the nutz in NH.
No I think the GOP has simply forgotten what they stood for and who supports them. Ron Paul is just a symptom.
Thank you. Their antiwar flip is costing them and putting a yoke around our neck. So, he’s attracting left, right and center voters now, huh.
ping - prepare yourself for the typical insults and simple minded namecalling
and republicans havent used conservatives ?
Yeah, there’s supposed to be article about all that on THR today. From the OP article:
“Well, one poll shows he could do just that and finish in a 3-way tie with Huckabee and Giuliani for the 3rd spot. That would be huge.”
That’s a 3-way tie for FIFTH place, and it’s only mathematically possible that all three would end up with the exact same number of votes.
