All he had to do was block incoming from the link to his contribution site. Too much for Ron.
It appears that Paul wrote some of the things that are considered by many to be offensive.
*sigh* It makes perfect sense to me.
“So Islamists who say “America is the Great Satan” have integrity because they mean what they say?”
Good point. I am straining to be fair to Ron.
By integrity, I mean: I think he really is against abortion, and he’s delivered a lot of children. I trust him to really stand for life. I think he really is against pork barrel spending, and won’t suddenly start feathering his nest. I think that is commendable. But yeah, his stands on many issues and his attitude towards this great nation make him unsupportable.
Much of what he says and many of his positions are right on...
That said several instances of behavior of his supporters over the last few days and what he has written trouble me.
Email I recieved today-—
“Vicious Ron Paul Hit Piece Scrapes The Barrel Of Yellow Journalism
Kirchick claims Congressman thinks Martin Luther King a “gay pedophile” amongst other ludicrous smears
Tuesday, January 8, 2008
Another hack journalist intent on making a name for himself in the establishment media peanut gallery is the latest to spuriously attack presidential candidate Ron Paul, making completely baseless claims that the Congressman is a racist and a white supremacist sympathizer, going as far as comparing Dr. Paul to Charles Manson.”
No I am not a paulite....I will vote for Fred, but its clear to me this is a hit piece and its posting here, is not in the best interests of FReepers....
Hear me?
Yes, neoconservatism is a close cousin to the New Republic’s neoliberalism, and both are hostile to authentic conservatism and very politically correct.
Not exactly. The Nazis were against the abortion of Aryans. They were very much in favor of abortion for Jews, Slavs and other subhumans.
Check a few posts up, this evening this all changed. Apparently The National Review was sitting on scanned copies of the newsletters with Paul’s sig on some of them and they span decades, not an isolated incident.
HAHA!
That’s nice.
I like what’s at the top though:
*MCCAIN 36.84; ROMNEY 31.52; HUCKABEE 11.22; GIULIANI 8.53; PAUL 7.76;
Yeah another “respectable” 5th place finish for the retard.
So much for those claims of having NH “in the bag” or “he’ll come in either second or third....You just watch” ROFLMAO!
Damn.
Funny how the paultards whine about their fuhrer being "smeared", but waste no time smearing others:
"SounthernManifesto : Someone from his staff wrote this, not him.
And to be anti-black would mean he is very pro-white. Which is not the case or else he'd be a crusader like Huckabee or something.
He wants to end the war!"
Well, if you're a central-planning lib-left progressive statist Marxist-Communist, pretty much everything.
Needless to say as an African American I am offended.
I wasnt a Ron Paul fan anyway, and he is such a kook, that if this serves to discredit this nutcase then its all worth it.
“I thought that was really, really weird too. Kucinich is the guy hes closest to in political philosophy? (wasnt that what Leno was asking?)
aye carumba”
Yep.
The actual political spectrum isn’t a straight line like what is typically used by the media and the left.
It’s not some square like that political “map” thats sometimes used.
The true political spectrum is realistically more of a circle since the extremes of both left and right eventually meet at some point.
I’m not, and I’m not sure why you’d say such a thing.
You do know the Cindy Sheehan thing is just a rumor started by some bozo on a message board much like this one, and bears no relation to the truth, don’t you?
There used to be lots of fans of this video here on FR about ten years ago. If you were to troll through the FR archives, I'm sure a lot of the old timers would find things under their names that would embarrass them now, myself included.
I'm pretty sure I first heard the MLK adultery stuff here, though the pederasty stuff sounds like it's from an FBI file worked up to discredit the man. (It's not true, is it?)
Some of these writings are nasty, some are funny, and some are right. Some seem deliberately cut to seem the most damaging. Perhaps I'm desensitized, but they're actually not as bad as I feared they'd be.
If Tom Tancredo can get defenders for talking about nuking Mecca or waterboarding or deporting millions of Mexicans, or McCain can sing "Bomb, bomb, bomb Iran," Paul gets to be kooky too.

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA In response to an article published by The New Republic, Ron Paul issued the following statement:
The quotations in The New Republic article are not mine and do not represent what I believe or have ever believed. I have never uttered such words and denounce such small-minded thoughts.
In fact, I have always agreed with Martin Luther King, Jr. that we should only be concerned with the content of a person’s character, not the color of their skin. As I stated on the floor of the U.S. House on April 20, 1999: I rise in great respect for the courage and high ideals of Rosa Parks who stood steadfastly for the rights of individuals against unjust laws and oppressive governmental policies.
This story is old news and has been rehashed for over a decade. It’s once again being resurrected for obvious political reasons on the day of the New Hampshire primary.
When I was out of Congress and practicing medicine full-time, a newsletter was published under my name that I did not edit. Several writers contributed to the product. For over a decade, I have publicly taken moral responsibility for not paying closer attention to what went out under my name.
