How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Start Loving Obama
The American Thinker ^ | 7 January 2008 | Randall Hoven

If Republicans, candidates and base alike, cannot pull themselves out of the funk in which they find themselves, it soon will be time to start making the best of a bad situation. Some truly believe the GOP blew its big chance, their first and best chance in about 50 years. They think it might be better, even for Republicans, to see how a Barack Obama might do in office and for Republicans to join the Miami Dolphins and the St. Louis Rams in putting this season behind them and trying to salvage next season.

Would this be the first President to not say the Pledge of Allegiance? Didn’t he stop placing his hand over his heart? Need info from FReepers who remember what that was about.

That is my guess as well. He is bringing “hope” and what the h does that mean. Hope is just as scary as “change” with no definition. Where do these folks get these mantras? And then they give us a teary eyed woman?? I am repulsed!

Yes. He was a muslim and now not a muslim. He is either an apostate or a crusader according to the Muslim crowd. Now why would anyone consider him for the White House? He could be legit but it is not worth the chance. I would never vote for this dude.

I guess it depends on how you see it. As far as a law degree, I think we have now and have had far too many lawyers in government. Given a choice I would take a business major or anyone with real executive experience. The job is chief executive and commander in chief of the armed forces, I figure one year as governor of any large state trumps a career in the senate when selecting a president. Bush also had some military experience in which Obama is totally lacking. Historically it has been very difficult to move from the senate to the presidency, the people have preferred governors, it may be changing but that is how it has been.

Not sure. I understand he turns his back and slumps at the flag during ceremonies. He’s the perfect liberal. He’s the perfect anti-American.

Holy moley. Obama supporting Islamic radicals and Sharia Law in Kenya. Is this because he’s one of them or is he just an O-Bambi?

This has to be contact and money source for Hussain Obama. He didnt raise all these funds on the backs of the “little people”

Thanks. One wonders what the youth who support them are thinking, if at all.

Zero executive experience. No president in almost 50 years is missing executive experience. He’s never run any thing. He’s hardly been in the Senate...3 years. He is so new, he wasn’t even THERE to vote for a war we are in right now. John Kerry had been in for about 20 when he ran for President. What set of experiences does this individual have to lead the nation? Chicago street activism?

Your description of experience is a bit off.

I believe in the freedom of speech and I value the first amendment, but it was with a lot of disappointment when i read this post. I noticed the post pretty late and only now am responding to it, but a lot of your claims were unfounded. That Odinga wanted to creat an Islamic state in Kenya is ludicrous, he had an MOU with the Islamic leaders but it must also be mentioned that he also entered one with the episcopal leaders too. Saying that he wanted to create a sharia enforced country because majority of Lous are muslim is also totally false. Majority of luos in Kenya are christian. In fact they make up a large percentage of the population. That Odinga and Obama are cousins or even related in unfounded. In Africa people of the same tribe refer to each other as kinsmen, or cousins. Odinga is not responsible for the violence in the country, it was a volatike situation and not only luos were in involved. The whole country erupted in chaos after the elections. There was no heralding call to arms. Perhaps in future it would be best if one got their facts right, before blindly and zealously wrote on issues they clearly had no idea about.

He has far more experience than GWB had when he ran in 2000.

Huh?

Bush was a successful governor for two terms in one of the largest states in the county before running for POTUS

Obama did what????

He was a State legislator and won a congressional Senate seat against a out of towner Dr. Keyes in a state where people vote for a democrat even if the ballot was blank

Not my claims, but the claims of the authors.

Please follow the links and address your criticism to them.

To be honest I am not of political nature. But with all the things I have read lately I can't help but to respond. If you say that everything is unfounded, then tell me why there is so much evidence that supports the “unfounded” theories from a man that is certainly NOT American. It seems to me that he cares more about changing American and turning it into an Islamic Nation then he does about keeping its people free and fighting the good fight that we have always fought. I do remember that Obama did not place his hand on the Holy Bible and swear to uphold its truth, but rather the Koran Bible and he certainly does uphold and follow that well. If you ask me that is totally against what our great nation was founded on. And the men that started our constitution with the strong roots that God is in this country. I swear they must be rolling over in their graves as we speak. Our men of honor, the brave soldiers go to war everyday to keep our freedom alive. And from what I see here Obama is strictly in this to prevent our soldiers from keeping that freedom alive. If I were you, I would take a long hard look at the candidate you support and see what he is really supporting. I would hate to vote for someone who could possibly turn this great nation into an Islamic Country and know that I was the one who voted to make it happen. Open your eyes and really grasp whats going on here before its too late and we live in a world of regret.
