Republican Presidential Candidate Debate #14 Milford, New Hampshire 01/06/08 - Official Discussion Thread
Fox News Channel; Roundtable format
Candidates the gatekeepers are allowing to participating:
The weekend of football is over, so I’ll actually be able to catch this one without changing the channel back and forth.
Did anyone see over on Drudge wgere CNN is re-running last night’s debate against the live one on FNC? Yeah. Re-runs will do it. Heh. Heh. Heh.
What are Paul supporters complaining about? He lost votes in yesterdays debate. They should be thrilled that he won’t be on TV anymore rambling his incoherent position on isolationism.
Thanks for starting the link! Check out the new tagline!
Is someone going to "streak" the stage?
Dear God, please, please do not let it be RuPaul!
GO FRED! Got popcorn?
That'll be good viewing. All those nutjobs in one place going, what else, nuts!
“Thanks for the link. I had missed all of the debates since Fred jumped in and last night was my first chance to see him speak. As a South Carolinian not sure where I will throw my support, I am glad for another chance to hear all the candidates speak and I am going to listen to Freds answers to see how he aligns with my own political opinion. No one else impresses me, so we will see.”
Here is another great interview to see Fred in action. Spread it around to your friends! :) I believe that Fred is the real conservative in the top four and when folks get a chance to hear him they will agree. Also check out fred08.com and read Fred’s stands on the issues and his white papers with more detailed plans. GO FRED! :)
And it isn’t even a CNN debate...they have to now run ABC programming...LOL
Looks like they’re going to show campaign ads during the debate (currently previewing Romney campaign ads against McCain and Huckabee)
Some red meat to go with that popcorn? Just kidding, hope everyone remains true to themselves first, and not just say what they think the base want to hear.
Leave it to Shep to interview Democrats before a Republican debate..(rolling eyes)
For Fred, much of the same, yet take a bolder approach and jump in more without being overbearing. Go after Huckabee hard and absolutely slam McCain on his amnesty weakness, as well as challenge his weak stance on torture.
For Mitt, Here is my advice for Mitt tonight:
Don't get suckered into a childish argument. *Debate* with calm, rational responses. If Huck gives another low blow, respond with, 'Considering your background, Mike, I would expect more from a man of the cloth than that.'
If McCain gives another low blow disguised as a joke, simply laugh along with him. Don't sink to his level because he already has shown he is the lowest of low. If he persists, point out McCain's continual flip-flopping on immigration and simply say that if he is going to make accusations, he should be prepared to defend his own record against the same.
If Mitt can do those simple things, he will do fine.
For Rudy, please stop invoking Reagan and 9-11. It doesn't help you.
McCain and Huck... eh, I don't care how these guys do. I will never vote for either.
Hey... I’m listening to John Batchelor on WABC 770AM... Is the live stream up for the debate? How’s your weekend?
flash mob
Flint used to light peace pipe, my Ron Paul neighbors do it all the time.
“hope everyone remains true to themselves first, and not just say what they think the base want to hear.”
I certainly don’t expect that advice to be taken by anyone other than Fred....
“Conservatives beat liberals only when we challenge their outdated positions, not embrace them. This is not a time for philosophical flexibility, it is a time to stand up for what we believe in. Together we can carry the conservative banner all the way to the Whitehouse.” -Fred Thompson-
The stream is working, but Fox is just showing debate prep for now.
Weekend was way too busy. Still making carbonated drinks with your new machine?
