There's a great political story in New Hampshire: the resurrection of Republican John McCain as he begins his surge toward his party's presidential nomination.
But I think I'm going to stay home. It's cold there, with ice and snow, like C.S. Lewis' Narnia when things were bleak. And now that Hillary Clinton has come in third in Iowa on the Democratic side and Barack Obama has become the official anti-Hillary, there's the big White Witch issue.
Bill Clinton is unleashing her, announcing the Clintons are going to go negative against Obama in New Hampshire and invoking the politics of personal destruction.

It's cold there, with ice and snow, like C.S. Lewis' Narnia when things were bleak.Especially when compared to subtropical Chicago.

Clintons dip toes in negative politics My nominee for most naive headline of the year. Or most dishonest, one or the other.

For the Klintons, “negative politics” means causing the death or serious physical injury to the opponent. “Spirited debate” is the release of false, personal, defamatory information. A “positive message” from the Klintons is that the opponent is a no good liar and a cheat.

Uh... Say, Bill....uh...maybe you should be thinking about some escape plan-- AND FAST! Do you know any high-ups in the Witness Protection Program??? At the very least--grow a beard, get one of those fake noses, and head for a cave somewhere--like Tibet--or Siberia--or Antarctica! Would you consider plastic surgery? A sex-change operation? It might be worth it...!

You need to give John Kass a break; he's trying to replace Mike Royko, and failing miserably at it.
Come to think of it, he's like Hillary trying to use Billy's charm to convince the voters....

Dip toes?? The politics of personal destruction started when Reagan was elected and the Clintons escalated them exponentially. I believe that the reason Obama is still standing is because he wasn’t on the political scene in the early 90s. She would have had his FBI file under a microscope if she could have projected his rise. I’ve always believed that those files had most prominent Dems as well as any Republican threat to their “dynasty”.
