The Republican field is still fractured and not focused. Most Conservatives are focused on disposing of Hillary Matters.
The time will come for Republicans ... once the Huckster has run its course.
McCain dies off in SC, just like last time. The NH primary isn’t what it once was, the fact that independents can register and vote either way means lots of Mass-hole Democrats vote in the Republican primary. This is a really bad rule.

This election will be extremely revealing, probably painfully so. It will reveal whether or not the American populace has been sufficiently dumbed-down...
Good point...and I will go a bit further and state that question was somewhat settled in 1992 as to the power of charismatic nobody candidates, serious character flaws notwithstanding.
As many of us have predicted in these fora, even the once anointed Hillary is now in deep if not fatal trouble because the emotional and superficial majority is once again being seduced by a brand new empty suit whose negatives are as few as his substantive policy positions. Obama is made to order, and I mean that in the most literal sense, for an electorate in which most have not yet come to terms with the dangers at our door
And the Pubs may fare no better against their latest iterations of the smooth talking snake oil salesman with the ability to convince the fat part of the bell curve that he has something better to offer, even if he can't exactly state what that is.
American politics, had it not descended to the basic story line of the Three Little Pigs, ought to be serving up a Hunter or a Thompson in these dangerous times. Instead we are most likely going to receive another helping hot air, coiffured hair, and the rest of the gimcrack that the "process" dredges up with such regularity these days.

Re: the debates last night, you said:
"And Huckabee looked like a teen-ager at a grown-up party, trying to be part of the conversation but not knowing what any of it was really about."that is exactly what I saw too! Spot on.

“My wife called me to ask how to turn the heater on!”
LOL, what did you tell her, “What heater?”
One rare hot day when we were living in San Francisco my wife asked, “were is the A/C?”. I said, “about five miles west and it will be here by 4:32?” She is from the North East and looked at me like I was nuts. But sure enough, by five she was back in her sweater.

I have tried my best to make a good case here that there are closer to 38 million than 12 according to good evidence.I think your number is much closer to correct. It's like the uninsured number. They just keep repeating it with absolutely no evidence that it is correct (and it isn't), and no one challenges them on it.

Historically the Cuban community has been 70% conservative, I really don't know who they will go for. the problem is they are always offset by the north dade, broward and palm bch. vote of illiterates, condo commandos, retirees with open extended hands always outstretched, transplanted new yawkers etc etc.
The only true Florida vote is in North Florida where many people were actually born there. There really should have been two states the state is that different.
