It won't come across on the transcript, but Sen. Hillary Clinton got angry during the debate tonight.
She was bickering with Sen. Barack Obama about their differences on health insurance, and whether Obama's plan leaves millions of Americans uninsured.
And then she well she got angry.
Frankly, I don't even really understand what she was saying. What I was getting was how angry she is. Not about an issue, so much, as about the fact that Obama is beating her.
The clip, I predict, will be played again and again and again.
Pundits will say that her tone made male voters recoil. And led some female voters to sneer.
Clinton people are spinning this as her projecting strength. I do not think that will be the widely-head view.
HERE's THE VIDEO LINK, already posted by Clinton enemies and the debate isn't even over yet.
Tell me what you think.

UPDATE: She just had another weird moment, too, where she seemed to blame Natalie Sarkisyan's death on John Edwards' inability to get the Patients Bill of Rights passed in the House.
I should add that this angry Hillary Clinton is NOT one I've ever seen at the Senate, on the stump, or in interviews. But I fear her performance tonight, in contrast to Obama's coolness and Edwards' Southern drawl, feeds into stereotypes about her. She tried to address this by dismissing "likeability" as a factor -- that Americans in 2000 would have preferred to have a beer with George W. Bush than Al Gore, and look how that worked out. But still.
We were discussing that very thing on this thread.
It appears as if we are witnessing the MSM abandon her, and are assigning this debate as her "Howard Dean Scream Moment."
The MSM decided in 2004 that Dean was unelectable, so they ran, and re-ran, the Scream until they fried his campaign.
This is probably the same phenomenon.
The only problem with it is the DNC white power structure will never allow Obama to achieve nomination dispite the seductive lure and popularity he has achieved.
A well planned attack fest is coming where the DNC will delicately convince voters he's not right for the job while staying above the fray.
Look for Jesse and Al to step in front of the camera in coming weeks to buffer the DNC from the black community such that they never suspect the DNC took out Obama precisely because of his blackness.
Just watch.
Hillary said her feelings were hurt, then the camera panned over to Chelsea who smiled.
I'm going out on a limb. No matter what the MSM does or doesn't do, I don't think either Hillary or Obama can win the presidency, maybe Obama VP on somebody else's coattails.
Obama is a child of privilege, nothing a regular American black can relate to or emulate if they see the truth. He may not be that bad of a guy, but is still a real wild card, a whole new card in the deck.
But each state and focus group overplays their importance in the bigger scheme of things.
Maybe the voters will decide they don't want this change. They want healthcare. Healthcare is meanlingless if another America city gets hit. It's the same old same old, what is best for me and not the country.
Still, the Republicans better make a better showing, because another Dem can win.
When the rubber hits the road, people will cling to the familiar, imperfect though it is.
Not much has been said about the south, some. Southern voters are not going to go for it, and I'm not just talking the evangelical bloc. But we shall see. I could be very wrong, of course, and I'm not sure I really believe it 100%, just throwing it out there.
Great pic!
...and nominate a black McGovern.
Every acquaintance Obama ever encountered during the “drug” years is being located and contacted.
The DNC is looking for the “witness” to a drug sale.
A cocain deal is the holy grail they seek to end the white appeal.
In parallel, the DNC needs to convince the black community he is not really black and has over the years hurt blacks.
Bold. Exclusive. Eddie01 Prediction: Look for the appearance of Jesse and Al to help with this take down.
Change huh? To what? Back where we were on the last day we had a demo in the WH? On clintons last day we had........
recession
a market freshly robbed and crashing
alqeda in our country planning and training to kill our women and children
Or possibly, the last day BEFORE that, that we had a demo in the WH? Remember? the peanut man? On his last day we had..................
Interest rates at 18%
inflation at 12%
unemployment at damn nearly 10%
Gas prices on a par with what we have now, but without us being at war with the people who supply it
Hostages, in their 444th day of captivity
IS THIS THE CHANGE DEMOS WANT? I SURE AS HELL DONT!
Two race pimps versus Obama? His New Hampshire numbers would go up.
Leona Helmsley Clinton Moment.
You could see Edwards laughing in disbelief how easy it was.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Thanks for the ping!
Not True! She got a million for a Woodstock Memorial!
Like fingernails across a chalkboard. Once her political career is finished (hopefully within the next few weeks), she can have a new career in Hollywood playing the stereotypical nagging old biddy in sitcoms. I cannot conceive of any man wanting to vote for this woman. Who wants their worst nightmare of a mother-in-law-from-hell elected president?

I asked my hubby if he would mind if I took credit for what hes done everyday at work since 1988.
He just rolled his eyes at me

haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
cute
Having dealt with her on the phone a couple of times, it's the only Hillary I know. She just sort of reverted to being herself there for a few seconds.
Not among blacks who listen to the justice brothers.
I agree with the numbers going up though. That is, until they release the interview with the "Obama sold me and my 13 year old sister cocaine" guy opposition research is mining for.
I am not a Hillary fan either, but I was appalled at the reaction to her response.
She was not shrewish in the least - but focused and pointed. But, then I am a woman and I have seen men tag teaming a woman in meetings. Edwards came across like a jerk and Obama as someone letting one of his henchmen do this dirty work for him.
That’s a good analysis of the media reaction.
I think too much is being made of this. This isn’t the Howard Dean scream or some past debate meltdowns.
Hillary gets in trouble when she has to speak for longer than 45 seconds in any type of situation where hse has to raise her voice because, with each sentence, she raises her screech to another level and it sounds more like the rantings most men have heard from women in other contexts.
Perhaps I’m somewhat used to this but I can’t say I saw anything in that clip that would scare away a voter who hadn’t already heard her before.
I do think “the smartest woman in the world” has problems with rambling when asked to speak and with moderating her tone of voice.
Clearly, I’m no fan of the Clintons (they’re a bigger threat to America than bin Laden) but what I saw wasn’t so much a defining moment as it was a subtle reminder that Bill is the slick one in the family and Hillary is not.
