It won't come across on the transcript, but Sen. Hillary Clinton got angry during the debate tonight.
She was bickering with Sen. Barack Obama about their differences on health insurance, and whether Obama's plan leaves millions of Americans uninsured.
And then she well she got angry.
Frankly, I don't even really understand what she was saying. What I was getting was how angry she is. Not about an issue, so much, as about the fact that Obama is beating her.
The clip, I predict, will be played again and again and again.
Pundits will say that her tone made male voters recoil. And led some female voters to sneer.
Clinton people are spinning this as her projecting strength. I do not think that will be the widely-head view.
HERE's THE VIDEO LINK, already posted by Clinton enemies and the debate isn't even over yet.
Tell me what you think.

UPDATE: She just had another weird moment, too, where she seemed to blame Natalie Sarkisyan's death on John Edwards' inability to get the Patients Bill of Rights passed in the House.
I should add that this angry Hillary Clinton is NOT one I've ever seen at the Senate, on the stump, or in interviews. But I fear her performance tonight, in contrast to Obama's coolness and Edwards' Southern drawl, feeds into stereotypes about her. She tried to address this by dismissing "likeability" as a factor -- that Americans in 2000 would have preferred to have a beer with George W. Bush than Al Gore, and look how that worked out. But still.
I tend to agree- and given the moment- all Obama had to do was NOT mess up- which he was able to do. He seemed more...stable.
What I found most revealing and somehow bizarre was her answer to her likeability vs. Obama’s...the coy -that hurts my feelings- struck me as just plain odd.
Wow! Very profound and very accurate!
Ken,
Democrat voters would love to vote for a Black candidate.
My point is the DNC white power structure will sink Obama because he is Black.
Someone told me once a long time ago that liberals lie. I thought to myself, that can’t be, but after years of observation low and behold I came to believe not only did liberals lie but, liberals lie about everything all the time. My point: In order to resolve curious predictions, time and close observation are required.
Time will tell if I am right or wrong, but the body of evidence regarding fostered disfuctional groupthink behaviours coming from the DNC leads me to believe that the only interest the DNC has in blacks are their vote, not their well being and they already have 90+ percent of their vote...
I would agree. This is not “angry” as in the stories about her being really angry at Bill. But if it is her “Howie Dean moment” to bring her down, I have no complaints.
Ya noticed eh???
LOL
This is when she is at her worst.
You can see her fascist thirst for power in her darting, cruel eyes. It reminds me of Hugo Chavez. What a sociopath. It is just like her husband.
Now, if she gets the nomination, the trap needs to be set so that she blows up in a similiar way on national TV in the General Election debate. It can be done. And it will turn off MILLIONS. Guaranteed.
First of all, I’m a conservative who HATES the CLintons.
That said, I watched this and thought it was one of her better moments because she looks more like a “strong” woman rather than the shrieking hag that we’ve come to know her to be.
IF I was an undecided liberal, this would probably sway me more in favor of voting for her.
Ahhh, the guys were picking on the poor girl and now you have sympathy for her?
Have another cup of coffee. :}
The problem for her is that she has completely lost her momentum. Taken in that context, her response looks desperate and forced, rather than a strong pointed response.
brought back images of Kruschev pounding his shoe
Those hand hammering motions were more like Hitler from numerous grainy black/white clips I've seen over the years.
It worked out well with "The Mao-Tfit"... : )
Please feel free use to any of my "HillArt" at Tinypic.com (Search=Hillary). I'm getting a lot out of my use of MS-Paint these days!
And it's on You Tube! No way for her flying monkeys to do away with that.
In short, I had a moment of sympathy for her
Sorry, but all that it showed was a bitch who gets angry when cornered and then resorts to total lies.
I have 35 years of experience with change. - Please.
Thats kind of like a 16 year old with 16 years of experience, and it is wearing more thin than a Baltimore Pimp’s patent leather shoes.
No sympathy from me.
Funny how the comments on that video have been disabled.
