Please vote this gun issue question with USA Today. It will only take a few seconds of your time. Then pass the link on to all the pro gun folks you know. Hopefully these results will be published later this month. This upcoming year will become critical for gun owners with the Supreme Court accepting the District of Columbia case against the right for individuals to bear arms.
First - vote on this one.
Second - launch it to all the pro-gun folks and have THEM vote - then we will see if the results get published.
To vote in the USA Today poll, click on the link below. Does the Second Amendment give individuals the right to bear arms?

I went looking for the poll on USATODAY and can not find it. I am wondering how old this poll is now. I received the link via email.

Trick question.
The Second Amendment does not give us the right to keep and bear arms, but enumerates it as a protected individual right under the Constitution.
If it gave the right, then to take the right away it would only need to be repealed.

What the amendment means and how it’s written is VERY straight foreword despite lawyers and liberal intellectuals who “try” to inject their world view by adding layers of revisionist interpretations of those words in the Constitution.
When you ask most people in the most basic terms what the second amendment means you will surely get an overwhelming result in favor of the “right to bear arms.” The goal of the gun control advocate is to legislate de facto gun control through a thousand little bureaucratic and legal paper cuts. Assault weapon bans, licensing fees, polemics with who the Constitution is referred too when speaking about a “militia,” age restriction, ammunition restriction, licensing fees, mandatory training, gun free zones and and and. They have been vastly successful.

To a liberal the Constitution is a “living document.”
Meaning the first amendment is holly, the second obsolete.

Waaaaayyyy to subtle a distinction for USA Today, which also believes that the government owns everything.

Even though the phrase “shall not be infringed” is aimed at all those “paper cuts” they just keep on violating the letter of the amendment.

The founders knew what they were doing. The founders were the greatest group of people to ever assemble in one place since the last supper. (IMHO)
