APOPKA, Fla. -- A Central Florida man is accused of pouring hot cooking oil on a 17-month-old and using a hair dryer to burn his skin off because the toddler apparently would not stop crying and whining.
Police said Darlanne Toussaint was charged with felony attempted murder on suspicion he abused his girlfriend's son in an Apopka apartment building Thursday.
The mother of the child, Marlita S. Stokes, 23, was arrested on Friday and faces charges of child neglect and providing false information to police.

Horrible story. Whenever I heard stories about adults harming children, I take comfort in this scripture (Matthew 18:6):
“But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”

This guy should have hot cooking oil poured on him. It's a shame that boiling in oil has gone out of style.

A female pig is a better parent than this mother.
Prayers for this poor child and may the abusers get what they deserve here and in the hereafter.

This is par for the course with Mommys’ boyfriends. We have a case in our locality where Mommy’s boyfriend was raping her teenage daughter. Mommy didn’t even know about it and when she did find out, she wouldn’t press charges. The state had to do it to protect the child.

Yeah, that treatment will stop a child from crying.

Don’t blame this on “people” This guy is not one of us people.
I’m sure pouring hot oil to make a toddler stop crying is going to work. NOT.
We should give him-and mom- a taste of his own medicine.

Seems to me that the same should be done to the perp... Any volunteers to help? Get in line behind me -- and don't expect there to be much left to work with when I'm your turn comes. Scum like that don't rank amongst my favorite people.

Still, it is getting harder and harder to count Homo sapiens sapiens as one of my favorite species.

Get a rope. Soak the rope in cooking oil. Dangle the rope over the edge of Hancock Tower. Let him "ride" it to the ground (or jump off as the skin on his hands wears out). Repeat as necessary.

This is where an eye for an eye would be appropriate. I have never seen or heard of a child torture case that didn't fit in that category.
To: r9etb
Easy, but wrong -- we're all to blame, in some sense. This is the confluence of at least three cultural failures. Don't count me in the crowd you're describing.
To: EarthBound
Not a rope. I like an eye for an eye.
Cooking oil and a hair dryer would work nicely.
They can know what that child suffered.

Your insight goes much deeper than my terse explanation and I am in agreement with you. My brief rant was designed to evoke without inciting my awn anger. I failed, and I just want to wring this POS’s neck.
