It was a dilemma to me whether to remain silent or to jump in. I chose the latter this time.

Only Gods Word (of the 66 books from those 40 authors that God chose) is what counts. And on that basis Momonism is a cult. As is Judaism, by your definition, not to mention Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam.
And what of the Apocrypha, the Nicene Creed? They aren't canonized with the 66 books of the Holy Bible or written by those 40 authors. Does that make Catholics and Protestants cultists as well?
The editors and translators of the NIV, or any modern-day version of the Bible, aren't among the 40 original authors that God chose, so their interpretations are suspect, and the followers of their writings must be cultists as well.
So that leaves whom?
People who believe as as "I" do. Everyone else belongs to a cult.

Acutally, any possibility I might have ever supported Fred Thompson (and he was my second favorite prior to this) was nullified by your fellow FredHead in in this post. You should be voting for a candidate, not his supporters. If you are looking for a candidate who doesn't have supporters who act like jerks, you won't find one. Hunter supporters have been as obnoxious and disrespectful on FR as any, and I don't hold Hunter responsible for that.
At the risk of alienating you further, I think your decision criteria is pretty immature if that is what keeps you from supporting Thompson. We're not voting for prom queen. It matters who wins.

And theres a significant segment of the GOP who simply want to placate Evangelicals with a minimum of effort. If this doesnt change soon, there is going to be a real train wreck, coming down the pike, for the GOP. They had better wake up pretty soon to what is going to happen with the Evangelicals... I think evangelicals better wake up pretty soon to what is going to happen with the country if they insist on electing poor leaders.

Sounds like a strategy of the Clintons. If there is a threat, then prople disappear and end up dead.

Meanwhile Huckabee talks the talk well, but meanwhile gives me the feeling that he’s a Christian version of a Pharisee. Huckabee just feels a bit slimy

Wishing doesnt make it so. Hunter has been active campaigning in other states and in their primaries He might as well keep campaigning until Feb 5. If he doesn't have rational numbers past "Super Tuesday", then he's done

The Breck Girl's speech was awful...same old angry class warfare. Mrs. Clinton's speech was I, I, I. Both had me diving for the remote. I skipped Obama's because he puts me in a coma.
Lanny Davis with the Friends this a.m. said that Obama didn't thank his opponents and made his speech all about him...he thought that was bad. Dick Morris thought Obama's speech was the best in history, 2nd to JFK's inaugural.

But Fox and the media are clearly against Fred. They are ignoring him and pumping up McCain which I find to be absurd. Last night on "Nightwhine" (Nightline) , a one hour program, they did 15 minutes Dem, 15 minutes Pub, 15 minutes Dem and 15 minutes Pub. They discussed every candidate on the Dem side and Huck, Mitt and Juan on the Pubbie side. As for Juan it was a "Wonderful Day" and a "Great Success."
They said Fred's name exactly two times for a grand total of SIX SECONDS OF AIRTIME. This was to grudgingly admit Fred took third ahead of Juan.
Six seconds for Fred, total. That's it. Nothing more, No clips, no interviews, no commentary, no analysis. Absolutely nothing.
It was the most blatant bias I had ever seen out of any MSM to date
I will be sending Fred $50 today. If ABC wants to pull that crap then cash will speak for him.

Thanks for the advice.
I’m editing my profile as I speak. lol.
I do want to meet a woman that has a lot in common with me and share my values or at least won’t get mad when I listen To Rush Limbaugh, go on conservative sites, or talk about limited government and freedom.
And some liberal women think Rush Limbaugh is a Nazi and they didn’t like I was listening to him lol.

Nan, I am scared. I thought the Obama phenom would be over by now. Last night, saw him being interviewed on ABCNews, and when he flashed his grin, it was the creepiest sight I have ever seen on anyones face. Total madness.
Madness is sometimes mistaken for charisma. Maybe Nowhere Man is right.
Something about Obama scares the living "batcrap" out of me. It is worse than Jimmy Carter when he arrived out of nowhere, at least in Carter's case, he did have a track record as governor, but Obama seems like he rose out of nowhere, I think he was a Chicago politician, basically a nobody before he came Senator, now he is a contender for President? Either there is a "shadow government or powers that be" behind him or he is an Anti-Christ. Whatever you think, something just ain't kosher here.
Hillary I don't like naturally, but I don't think she'd have too much traction if she was President, I think we have enough Republicans to shut her down 90% of the time but with Obama, he has that charm, charisma, madness that he could get his way.
