I'm a FRedhead, but I love Duncan Hunter. However, the man HAS to pull out. He's siphoning votes away from FRed. What's his purpose? No one is paying any attention to him but his die-hard followers.
Our one conservative hope with a shot of winning is Fred. Duncan will just create all kinds of ill-will for himself if he hangs in there like an aging runway model. He can really hurt Thompson in SC.

Ummm..., I sure can make that kind of determination for whether someone is a Christian or not, from what they say — when it is going to be my vote that I cast. And in this instance, when it comes to my vote, Thompson exhibits no concept of what a Christian is (cannot even get the “good news” right...).
So, for my vote — he’s not a Christian...
I’ll let God take care of the Heaven part — I’m only working on the next election.... LOL..

I put that line in there because I knew that would give you an impression of me that is not true. Although my church is part of the NC Conference, it is much more conservative than others in the conference. Our former pastor is a Chaplain in the Army Reserves who spent 7 months in Iraq in 2003-2004. Our town is a military town and our church has many active duty and retired members of the USMC and the USN, so we are a very patriotic church. I love George Bush and believe him to be a man of faith who has never presented himself to be anything other than who he is. I despise both of the Clintons and still remember being disturbed by those pictures of the two of them leaving church when he was POTUS will his big Bible under his arm. “By their fruits, you shall know them.”

Thompson is third in the Republican race in cash on hand - upwards of $5M (though now it is being reported as closer to $9M). Donations have been pouring for him. He set aside $6M for SC before he went to Iowa. I don’t think lack of money is a problem.

When will you post your after action report?
It will be very interesting to hear what happened. I, for one, would have been very frustrated by the Huckabee voters illogical logic.
What were their general impressions of Fred? Were these people knowledgeable and informed?
Thanks for posting the thread, too.

Maybe those who are tired of huge government should split off, since it is they who have ALWAYS agreed to vote for the prolife candidate, regardless of his other issues.
Then the RR can have the GOP to themselves, all the sinners will be gone, just like they have always wanted.

You said — “I think Star Traveler is mostly passionate . . . perhaps so much so that orneriness gets in the way of wisdom or some such. But who am I to say anything about that! LOL.”
Well, I do get on a streak at times... LOL...

“Do you have my email?”
It’s probably buried by now. I’m Catholic, not evangelical. I find you to be a pretty neat very intelligent guy with a good sense of humor. Feel free to send me your email again.

Do you remember when Huffington (Adriana’s husband) spent extreme big bucks of his own to win the Senate or something in CA???
People thought he would win just because he was waaaaaaaaaaay out spending his opponents...
But he did not win..........
To: Lexinom
You won’t like me either then. I am on record of voting for Thompson or Hunter in the general election, even if I have to write one of them in. I have “bashed” Governor Huckabee by exposing his record and the inconsistancies in his Christian testimony. He is a horrible standard bearer for Christians.

On the tv screen, you could see maybe 20 faces behind and around Hillary. Bubba's was bright red.....so red it stuck out from the rest. And, his nose! It looked like rudolph! I have never seen him look so bad. I wondered if it was possibly high BP or major stress? (or too much tippin'........)

Good to hear, I want Thompson to stay in the race.
Reprehensible that FNC kept saying Thompson would pull out.
Biased rumor mongering...

No surprise both Biden and Dodd dropped out. Funny as today on foxnews Dodd was talking about the huge support he was getting in Iowa and we should not be surprised with his finish. I believe his family moved there which explains his 1 vote, LOL.LOL... Is Dodd a piece of work, or what? What an ego! He moved his family (two young children included) to Iowa many months ago... even enrolled one or both daughters in an Iowa school (one of his daughters is too young for school, I think). Disgusting that he would uproot his family like that, and be MIA from the state and people that he's supposed to be representing.
I expect to see him traveling around Connecticut soon, doing his "mea culpa / hey, don't forget me, Connecticut" tour.

I know that is what Obama’s followers want, and apparently the same holds true for the Huckabee crowd.

I don't particularly consider Iowa a "bellweather" state, but it sure is SWEET to see that sad, empty Hillary Clinton venue, as of a few minutes ago on Fox News. Reporter said they're mopping up and closing the place down. I love seeing that tonight, but just KNOW the bit** will be back with a vengeance.

"I take offense to your catholic smear. (dont like Huckabee and Im CATHOLIC) Take your ignorance elsewhere." I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. I just didn't like the way they so softly handled the recent sex scandals. Most catholics are good people as are most LDS and evangelicals
