Marine Sgt. Michael McNulty -- now on his way to Iraq for his second tour of duty in the war -- took meticulous care of his car.
He babied his car so much that he had military vanity plates along with a sticker in his window that let people know that a Marine or a Marine supporter drove that car. But someone didn't like the Marine sticker, or the pro-military plates, and decided to stage an anti-war protest, with a key or hard piece of metal, on the shiny black finish of Sgt. McNulty's car that caused $2,400 in damage.

I’m gonna see if I can send him some cash.
Sure sounds like a hate crime what an a hole
That would be a heck of a gesture. A bunch of strangers pay for the paint and detail.
This is absolutely disgusting! I could see this in San Francisco, But Chicago? This is outrageous!
I’m glad to see this getting some attention in the media.
“Private attorney Jay R. Grodner, 55, of Chicago has been charged with a class A misdemeanor “
Oughta be a felony. Damage is $2,400! This was well-covered in a few threads yesterday. If you’re interested in more detail, and a report of the first court hearing, for which the lawyer-scum was late, do a search.
Let me know if you find a way to get something to him. I would love to contribute to getting his car fixed!
and since about Christmas, the blog-o-sphere has been just hammerin this story.
multiple threads on this have been removed from FR because of posting personal information on Jay Grodner.
Thank you, John F. Kerry.
Well how on Earth do the moderators plan for us to find this guy’s house to tee-pee if they keep taking of the threads with personal information? Sometimes I think they consider their actions too carefully!
Grodner keying Mcnulty’s car ping.
MSM papers smell coffee after it refuses to go away.
According to the Illinois Supreme Court web site, Jay R. Grodner, the scumbag who keyed a deploying Marines car, committed vote fraud resulting in the suspension of his law license in 1984:
Jay Grodners Voter Fraud Discipline
In addition to being disciplined for being involved in a scheme to forging documents, it has been reported to CLR that attorney Jay Robert Grodner has since then engaged in a conflict of interest with his clients, has abandoned his clients, has engaged in false billing, has engaged in a fraud upon his clients, provided ineffective assistance of counsel, and has engaged in a fraud upon the court.

Illinois Supreme Court:
"The Administrator charged Petersen with forging voter signatures and with actively recruiting Grodner, Presbrey, Weir, and Truemper to assist in this effort. The latter four respondents were so charged. Throughout the briefs and the record the respondents have referred to their acts of forgery as roundtabling. They explain that this term connotes a group of people gathered at a table who circulate petitions to one another. Each person signs a name obtained from a phone book or voter registration list and then passes the petition on to the person sitting next to him, who does the same."
"The hearing panel found that all respondents knowingly engaged in fraudulent activities contrary to justice, honesty and good morals and that the legal profession [99 ILL2D 246] was disparaged as a result . . . The Review Board concluded that the respondents forgeries on the petitions undermined our democratic system of government and that their fraudulent activity brought the legal profession into disrepute. That board recommended . . . six-month suspensions for respondents. . . ."
This Grodner fool woke up on the first of December and ate a bowl of Stupid for breakfast! He better be looking more for Claymores in his yard than T-P!!
Hate was the motivator behind this attack but the law will never see this action as a Hate Crime. Which is precisely why such laws discriminate.
The courts will determine that this action too is protected "free speech".
