‘People here just won’t get it that we are no longer a strong Conservative Country. The demographics have changed. FR is not representative of this country.’

While this is demonstrably true, it doesn’t address the fact Conservatives are better informed politically, and Show Up to Vote.

It’s as if wishing will make it happen.

But it will make it happen Hildy! It’s called commitment. Intensity. A small committed group can have a greater effect on politics than a larger and less committed group. Simple as that.

Perhaps Hildy is speaking from experience. Being a Rooty backer she found out wishing didn’t make it so.

Wishing did make him go away...well ....wishing and a good examination of his liberal policy...personal life etc.

The Huckochumps are also wishing. In vain. Iowa is as far as he will go.

Ever so often, people forget and we end up with a "Carter". If people think things are bad now, wait for $150 oil, 12% unemployment, 23% interest rates, 12% inflation. Most of the people voting didn't live through Carter. Others are saying, "It couldn't happen again."

It DOES make a difference who you vote for.

You’re going to be in for a huge shock this year.

Oh you mean when the loser of Iowa, New Hampshire, Michigan, Wyoming, South Carolina, and Nevada emerges from the Great Pumpkin patch and wins it all on February 5th.

Then again maybe it was smart of him to skip such socially conservative places like New Hampshire and Las Vegas (/sarc)

thanks......... but going through the gyrations of getting to Zogby is what I was trying to avoid. If you had a link all I’d have to do is click it. I’m on a computer right now that the hard drive is almost gone and takes time to search through the web for things.

Thanks anyway.

Thanks so much......

It looks like two at the top [Huckabee-Romney], three in the middle [Thompson,McCain,Paul], and two at the bottom [Giuliani-Hunter]....... Interesting and I guess based upon published activities not to be unexpected.

Again thanks.....

I absolutley don’t understand the support of Huckabuffoon. He (along with Ron Paul) are an embarassment to the GOP.

A lot has to do with the "Fair Tax" which they both support (very attractive superficially, but infeasible IMO; Fred's tax plan is more realistic).

I like Duncan Hunter the most too, but let’s face it, he’s not electable. Of the rest, I’m liking Romney the more I hear him. Huckabee is a flake.

Anybody but Romney. He was for gay scoutmasters. That’s just disgusting.

The Brownback campaign pointed to Romney’s answer during a debate in 1994 when he ran for the U.S. Senate.

“I support the right of the Boy Scouts of America to decide what it wants to do on that issue. I feel that all people should be allowed to participate in the Boy Scouts regardless of their sexual orientation,” Romney said during a debate clip posted on the Web site YouTube.com.

The best news for Fred is to finish third in Iowa, have romney beat huckabee in NH, or have McCain win there. Then win in SC. If this happens the entire gop race is a mess. And the nomination is up for grabs. It’s just a shame that we have liberals in romney, huckabee, rudy and mccain leading.
