I’m with you. It has recently been disclosed that McCain actively considered becoming a Democrat in 2002. He nearly ran with Kerry two years later. And now we want to make him the GOP nominee? That’s crazy.

This guy was one of the Keating Five; the gang of fourteen, he supported amnesty for illegals, and nearly pushed it through with his buddy Kennedy.

If he is the nominee I will vote third party. That’s a promise.

Another Republican endorsement?

That’s ok though. Because all the Romney haters have the liberal newspaper endorsements against him. :)

You know it’s a bad year for the left when they have tried so hard to torpedo Mitt and he just keeps winning. He has Hillary’s number and they know it, sorry libs.

All that you say about McCain is true and yet a large number of us still trust him more than the Liberal Governors. Pretty sad, isn’t it?

This offers unique opportunities for headline writers. The first that comes to mind is, “As Presidential campaign staffers who have never won an election the B list grows by 100%.” Sub head.
Bob Beckel and Bay Buchannan round out the B list of campaign operatives.....

OK, headline writers.

Was just reading about the American Cause , which Bay Buchanan heads up....A very conservative outfit.

“Launched in 1993, The American Cause is an educational organization whose mission is to advance and promote traditional American values that are rooted in the conservative principles of national sovereignty, economic patriotism, limited government, and individual freedom.”

I remember watching Bob Dole giving his acceptance speech at the GOP convention. When Bob Dole mentioned something about money and corruption in politics, the camera went to John McCain in the audience. I will never forget the look on John McCain’s face. Maybe it was just me, but I thought I saw something there. I’ll never forget that. For some reason, it hit me and has stuck with me.

I loved her when she was treasurer of the Reagan 76, 80 and 84 campaigns; of course Mitt had nothing to do with those campaigns. He was an “independent” during the Reagan/Bush years.

What is there to trust about McCain? He’s a wheeler, dealer, who tries to sell out conservatives wherever it suits his interests. As bad as Romney is, how can McCain be better?

I don’t see it.

I cannot trust McCain or Rudy - Huckabee will never win, just drain votes from Hunter and Thompson. He pushed CFR, he has mental issues, and he has supported and still supports perks for illegal aliens - too early to tell if he truly flip flopped on amnesty or only on his definition of amnesty. No one who has advocated amnesty and open borders should be elected POTUS.

We don’t hate Romney.

We hate the idea of people saying that a pro-choice, anti-gun, pro-homo liar is conservative.

He isn’t.

He makes Kerry and Gore look good in comparison.

McCain is as bad as Huckabee.

--Huckbee would not Veto the S-Chip bill that Bush vetoed. Neither would McCain.

-- Huckabee still supports his illegal alien scholarship program. McCain is the King of Shamnesty and voted to give the illegals social security benefits.

-- Huckabee is in favor of mandatory greenhouse gas caps. So is McCain. Did you see the McCain-Leiberman global warming bill? Very Kyotoesque.

-- Huck was the weakest of all the candidates on illegal aliens, except McCain, calling law and order GOPers racists and demagogues.

-- Huck now wants to close Gitmo and outlaw waterboarding. McCain too.

-- Huck has the highest pardon/commutation numbers for criminals, probably in the history of the country. McCain didn't get a chance to do all that, but he wants to protect terrorists from harsh interrogations.

-- Huck got an F from the CATO institute, McCain got a C+ from the NRA.

In other words, Huck and McCain are not conservatives.
