Troop Sergeant Dominic Conway, 32 – who directed mortar rounds – grinned: “It must have had quite a detrimental effect on their morale.”

Never bring an AK-47 to an anti-tank guided missile fight.

Not sure that was the most cost effective way of dealing with a couple bad guys.

"Two bloodthirsty revellers trying to creep towards Our Boys in a trench were spotted by thermal-imaging equipment – and targeted with a Javelin heat-seeking missile."

Sounds like a good time was had by all.

Good for them! We often neglect the English and their contributions in this war. The Royal Marines are every bit as hard as their US counterparts. We are blessed to have their support.

The terrorists bloodthirsty savages were pounded with mortars, rockets and heavy machine guns.

They blowed up real good!

I watched a video of this missile hitting a tank. After the dust settled, you could not tell the target used to be a tank. The barrel of the main gun was about twenty yards from the engine- and these were the largest pieces left over after the blast. A very impressive missile.

Well done, Bootnecks! I found the heat-seeking anti-tank missile used as an anti-personnel round a particularly impressive touch...but probably not as impressive as the fellas you targeted did.

Happy New Year...and good hunting.
