Sir Isaac Ford, the son of former Congressman Harold Ford, Sr., was arrested early Wednesday on suspicion of driving drunk.
Ford was charged with DUI, public intoxication, speeding and disorderly conduct after being stopped in Midtown about 4 a.m.
When he was brought to the Shelby County Jail for processing, Ford became combative and refused to give a thumb print, according to police reports.
Police said he did poorly on the field sobriety tests and registered a .115 on the breath alcohol test.
Memphis officers spotted Ford, 32, speeding in a red Mercedes-Benz on Union at Cleveland, according to the charges. At Cooper, police said, Ford was traveling 60 mph in a 35 mph zone. They pulled him over at East Parkway, where Ford agreed to take the sobriety tests, according to reports.
Once in the jail, Ford became combative and began cursing, police said. He was put in a holding cell at the jail when he refused to give his thumb print.

I had a roomate in college who told me in all seriousness that he wanted to name his son “Senator.” Thankfully, he has not procreated, so I’ve been told.
“suspicion of driving drunk”
Hmmmmmm..... Can’t believe THAT.
Well, yes he was. He is Harold Ford Jr. ‘s younger brother.
All Memphis Ford’s believe that they have been knighted by God to run the city and state and country.
He needs to study the laws of motion a little more carefully.
What kind of a half wit do you have to be to name your son Sir Isaac!?
Do you mean like a cur dog?
I knew a kid in high school who’s Dad’s name was King!
You have to have read Rickard Marcinko’s Rogue Warrior series to get it.
er Richard Marcinko...
God, I loved those books. I never would have thought that I would but damn did I.
I knew a guy whose first name was Lord.
I had a really tough time talking to him.
But absolutely no one had a hard time talking to her.
At amazing that a little bit of anti political correctness and a gift for storytelling can do.
I throughly enjoyed them.
This kind of half-wit: Harold Ford, Sr.
"All Memphis Fords believe that they have been knighted by God to run the city and state and country."
Well, he was a Ford, so he wasn't drunk. He just had "low blood", like his drunk @$$ mother/aunt/grandmother or whomever it was that fell off her barstool (and coincidentally, wasn't drunk either).
LOL! His parents were just being practical and not obnoxious.
That was my first introduction to FUBAR. LOL
But throwing in Isaac set the bar pretty high for him.
*blinks*
One of our congress critters has a son who is a British subject?
