Any man who is under 30 and is not a liberal has no heart; and any man who is over 30 and not a conservative has no brains. - Winston Churchill
I guess we know what old Winston would think of Chris Matthews, then. Appearing on Morning Joe today, the Hardball host turned the Churchillian maxim upside down, claiming his gut leans right but his head pulls him left.

Given that Matthews is an idiot who panders for liberals -— he has no brain and no heart, so Churchill’s maxim still stands.

MATTHEWS: I'm sort of a conservative; I have a conservative gut, and yet I have this liberal belief because I've thought things through, like marriage and things like that, abortion rights. I think 'em through and I come to these liberal conclusions on a lot of things.Chrissy, that's not thinking, it's gas.

His head tells him that if he wants to keep his job at MSNBC he better tow the commie line. His gut tells him everything he says is bull.
It is always better to trust you gut on matters other than engineering.

He may think he’s thought things through and what he cites are social issues but he clearly has not thought through economics or there’s no way he’d be a liberal.

Kind of sad that anyone cares what Chris Mathews says or thinks. His show was briefly entertaining a lot of years ago.

So if he has a “conservative gut”..I guess that means he had a huge bellyache all those years he worked for Jimmah Carter...

I think 'em through
There is no way that if anybody actually thinks things through, in the political sense, that they'd continue being liberal. But, Chrissy is committed to his party and to his employers and to his show, and could not make a move towards admitting any conservative thinking.

The only thing Christine has thought through is that the Clintons will wax him if he doesn’t toe their line.
They explained that to him some time ago.

Chrissy likes children at their very best, dead as a doornail.
Guy's a real laugher Fur Shur.

“....if he wants to keep his job at MSNBC ..”
I’ve always thought it more ‘if he wants to keep his wife.’ His beloved ‘Queen Kathleen’ is far more lib than Chrissy ever thought to be. And he had better believe in a ‘woman’s right to choose.’ Or else.
