Wallace to Osteen: Religion is playing a big role in this campaign. Could that be because the media is shoving it down our throats 24/7?

Yes, the Drive-By's push the Huckster and then they complain about religion playing a big role in the campaign.

It's like watching pro wrestling. It all a put-on and it's all done for a reason.

General Petreaus deserves the title of Field Marshall. He wrote a book like Rommell did. But he made his work. The man is too smart to ask for votes. He must teach other people about what he knows about managing very big things.

All true, but you gotta admit he could really point the country in the right direction as President. Whether congress would follow or not is something else.
Either way he is great American.

You’ve got a great way with words. You sure nailed Paul’s popularity appeal.

I’ve wondered these past few months, why does the GOP put up with this guy? Does he vote GOP or is he all over the map? I cannot imagine Paul functioning on a day-to-day basis in Congress - I suppose that I could check it out, but I really don’t care.

Hoping he might be promoted to run third party, are they?

Or, are the other guys busy?

A little quagmire colloquy?

The GOP has nothing to fear from a nutbar running. We have a histoir of allowing Kooks to have a platform. The Dems are the Stalinists who wouldn’t let Kookcinch in their debate, who does have a real following as opposed to Run Pat Paulson.

None of us are going to vote for him and he will only look impish when he goes Turd Party. His kook following have proved who and what he/they are.

The net allows them to amplify their meager numbers w/spam. He’s Pukeannan w/o the sanity.

Merry Christmas to Our Troops

MMMM, good breakfast(though my left arm is a bit numb, lol)

Vote for whomever you like. I am going to vote for someone who has ideas that have a chance of implementation. Bumpsticker catch phrases are great untill the time for action is demanded, then they fall a wee bit short.

And Paul is clearly auditioning for a media-hyped third party gig.

Ron Paul's candidacy and surprising appeal, although modest, is the one bright spot in this election cycle. There is hope for the country that its roots as a free republic have not been entirely severed.

I enjoyed the interview with Tim Russert. I thought Paul made Russert look like an uninformed idiot, as Russert, as usual, played the hypocrisy card, but instead displayed how invested he is in American mythology. How dare anyone be critical of St. Abe of Illinois. What, your pro slavery? Tsk tsk.

It is good for the country for Paul to give voice to the traditional form of conservatism. It accents just how far both parties have moved to the left. This was highlighted by Russert's inept attempt to label Paul as a strict constructionist on the constitution, who ( ohmygosh ) would amend the constitution. Bwah ha ha. Well, maybe it is not so funny. Surely, there is someone better qualified, more acquainted with fact and history to perform Russert's role.

Well Rod...

...speaking of Rudy’s health...

Some speculation here....they STOPPED HIS AIRPLANE! They don’t stop an airplane for simple “flu symptoms”!

They also kept him in the hospital all night!

There’s something ain’t kosher here.

The following day he’s out there with Judith and he sounds fine. This tells me that he did NOT have the flu. I suppose most of you who have had the flu before know that...heh, you’re not out and about and gallavanting over the planet with your wife.

I think there’s something up with Rudy. I don’t know what and you may disagree...but something’s up with him.

Which, I will iterate this week my mantra....

If Thompson gets the nod, I will vote for him.
If Mitt gets the nod, I will vote for him.
If Hunter gets the nod, I will vote for him.
If Huckabee gets the nod, I will vote for him.
If Paul gets the nod, I will vote for him, but I won’t like it.
If Rudy gets the nod, even if he’s half dead, I will vote for him.

Thus I am everbody’s friend but no way I could ever vote for Hillary and no way could I sit home and allow her to win.

It’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Further....

...even if Patraeus wouldn’t “do” me, I’d still vote for him for president, yes indeed.

General Field Marshall Petreaus is so far beyond politics it would be an insult to ask him that question. He is a warrior first.

Ron Paul completely manhandled Russert

You're right about that. Russert couldn't lay a glove on him.

I'm not a Paul supporter, but I was impressed by his performance.

RUSH:...The dirty little secret is that it is not about Hillary anymore. It's about Bill.

He's front and center. He is all over this place. He is running in the grocery stores. He's going off message. He's giving the security people fits. He's drawing huge crowds. They're going nuts in there, the Democrats are, asking for autographs, posing for picture. If she were on her own, without Bill, we've said this countless times. She would not be a serious candidate. She is pushing Bill out front. People go, "Look at Clinton. He can't help himself. Why, he's upstaging her!" Nope. She's pushing him out there, folks, because she knows that the Democrats are deciding whether to finally cut ties with him or not. That's the way the Clintons view it, too. Now, they're not going to say this. They will not confirm that this is correct, if anybody were to ask them about it, but that's why he's out front all over the place. He's got an uncontrollable ego but he's not out there off message in terms of upstaging his wife and possibly doing her harm. He is putting himself out there as a third-term president who's not on the ballot. That's what this is all about. The Clintons are viewing this as a referendum on him, as well as Hillary, and he wants back in the White House in the worst way. Upstaging her. If that's what's happening, it has to be with her approval, because she knows that alone, she is toast.

You should have seen Paul's interview with Neil Cavuto a few days ago. He completely ripped his heart out at the end.
