Desperate to take support from wherever he can get it.
Some - well more like all of two readers have gotten a little cross-eyed over the fact that I dared to imply that George Soros/MoveOn forces were working covertly to assist the most Soros-like candidate on the GOP ticket.
The truth is some of the support has been covert, some of it rather obvious...
For instance one MoveOn group assisted in the funding and production of this television ad:

“”Paul voted to give the president the authority to use military force against bin Laden’s group in Afghanistan “
And his plan to ‘wipe out’ Bin Laden’s group in Iraq is?
“You mean like those who still fall for the “WMD in Iraq, Saddam will attack us with his anthrax-laden paper airplanes of death” crowd? Even when the Bush administration itself denies there were WMD in Iraq?”
There were WMD in Iraq. Saddam used them against the Kurds and the Iranians.
“Or maybe those “paranoids” who want to attack and possibly nuke Iran despite our intel agencies unanimously telling us that there is no current Iranian nuke program?”
So exactly why does Iran continue to enrich uranium?
A check into history may reveal that we did not intially enter the middle east by force because they were “raising rattlesnakes.” OTOH, if another country came over here to establish their way of government in place of ours, and we attacked their interests in response, would you say they are right in attacking us further since we are, by their terms, “rattlesnakes?”
I hate the notion of blame America first as much as the next guy, but we cannot afford to be so ignorant as to pursue foreign policy without regard to consequences. Our neighbors internationally indulge practices wholly alien to ours. They may even do things that are self-destructive and inimical to individual freedoms. I have personal neighbors whose lives would be improved if I went into their home and ran it for a while. Do you think they would welcome the offer? Would it make sense to force my way in when they say, “No thank you” from the get go.
There is no question other countries have invited us to do business, but business done at the point of the gun? That’s not business. That’s extortion.
I saw a comment in passing, alleging in so many words that he believes a single nuclear submarine would be sufficient as a means of protecting our country. But I haven't seen the source. I certainly would not trust you to provide either a credible source or assessment in this matter.
Draft you and send you over there to fulfill your screen name.
More seriously, we ought to recognize that Bin Laden and Al Qaeda, while still a threat, have already been minimized through some pointed aggression in their direction. I suspect Ron Paul would facilitate efforts to learn about and attack specific enemies before they become an issue, but to pull back our footprint when it comes to establishing a way of life like ours amidst people who simply don't care about it.
The idea of strengthening conservative principles and practices in our own land, while minimizing our presence among people who have no regard for either one, seems to be a sensible one to consider.
On the bright side, Cynthia McKinney is running for President on the Green Party ticket. I wonder how many moonbat votes she’ll steal from the Dims? She is currently a moonbat darling. Let her be the cause of another Dim loss, and they’ll hate her as much as they hate Nader.
As happened with another poster, incendiary remarks regarding Ron Paul caused me to investigate his positions on the issues. Not only did I find his detractors to misrepresent his positions, but they also have no way of articulating their own.
It's the same phenomenon demonstrated by Bush haters who have not taken time to study his resolve and reasoning. As a result I have become comfortable in defending Ron Paul's positions, if for no other reason than others cannot comprehend them (as is evident from their reaction).
Same here....
here in Atlanta you see the occasional RuPaul placard on an overpass. Today I saw a pick-up with the tailgate down and a GIANT sign against the rear of the cab.
All other candidates manage with a bumper sticker, but not the loon’s candidate. It’s as if they’re trying to appeal to the blind as well as the dumb.
The way I see it is, if Cynthia McKinney gets even 0.01% of any vote, it is a sad day for America.
There is big money coming from somewhere ....
It is curous. I have to wonder if Soros is trying to get a third party run started. If so RP isn't the guy. He'd draw more from the left, IMO.
“OTOH, if another country came over here to establish their way of government in place of ours, and we attacked their interests in response, would you say they are right in attacking us further since we are, by their terms, rattlesnakes?”
We have never entered another country just because they had a different culture or way of life.
Perhaps not, but we’ve entered many countries without regard for either their culture or the consequences. If you think 9/11 happened just because some folks woke up one morning and decided on a whim to fly planes into our public and private buildings because we are a free people, then you might was well refrain from participating in meaningful discussion with regard to foreign policy.
LOL, because I posted just about the same reason why I became a supporter. As I wrote, these haters really don't know how well they are recruiting Freepers to take a serious look at RP.
If his position on the War was different, he would probably be leading in the polls.
I have listened to him these last couple of days, and I tell you the interviewers want to take him off his/the message. He is solid, when given the time, to get his point across. He answers the questions. No BS on his part.
There is a big concern Ron Paul is making too much sense to a lot of people, I expect the distortions to get even uglier then they have been already.
Despite the insults, you stayed above board. I some times get in the trenches and realize I am doing a disservice to my fellow Paul supporters.
Great to have you on board.
LMAO! Yeah I read that post, and then had to clear the spew off my screen when I read that! LOL
But yeah...walks like a duck, talks like a duck...
if I was a hypocrat, I’d be outright thrilled with Ru Paul running as a Republican. Dennis Kucinich too for that matter!
Maybe they can join forces...Paul/Kucinich ‘08
Maybe when Obama trots out Oprah they could answer by trotting out Cynthia McKooky...isn’t she running as a greenie or something these days?
BTW, here is another post we were on along with the same haters.

May I humbly suggest that you need to post something in breaking news informing all who enter free republic that you’ve been appointed doorkeeper for foreign policy discussion here on free republic. You might also wish to make all aware that they must accept Ron Paul’s peculiar delusions before being allowed to discuss foreign policy with their betters.
And, FYI, I do happen to think they flew those planes into our buildings because ‘we are free’. Yes, free, because we have not submitted to their version of Islam and because they see that ‘freedom’ as the largest impediment to the grandiose dreams of Muslim hegemony of the world.
“Perhaps not, but weve entered many countries without regard for either their culture or the consequences.”
There are consequences of our “entering” or “not entering any country”. Isolationism does not protect us from consequences.
This doesn’t answer my question. Al Qaeda in Iraq exists. What’s Ron Paul’s plan for dealing with them?
