yeah, this’ll work.
Once conservativism is deemed unstable, they’ll be around to disarm us, or so they think.
And what is the criterion of “mental illness” required to deprive a citizen of his right to keep and bear arms?
(Clintonvoice) “Wahl, thet depen’s on whacher definishin of ‘mentally ill’, is...”
In 2009, conservatism will be declared a psychosis by all “respected” medical experts, and the mass rehab will begin.
Do I really need the sarcasm tag?
Ping....very bad news!
There are already laws that prevent people who have been diagnosed with Mental illness from buying guns.
Political Correctness prevented his case from being reported and political correctness disarmed the victims.
Why didn’t they just pass another law to make killing illegal? - Geese, that would have been more smarter /sarc
Senate passes measure in response to Congressional rampage.
I can just see boardrooms full of doctors sitting around trying to
figure out a way to add new definitions.
THEIR COMING FOR YOUR GUNS!!!
If I say, “from my cold dead hands”, will they call me mentally ill?

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].
"... The number of mental disorders that children and adults in the general population might exhibit leaped from 180 in 1968 to more than 350 in 1994, notes Lane, Northwestern's Herman and Beulah Pearce Miller Research Professor. In a book that calls in doubt the facade of objective research behind psychiatry's revolution, Lane questions the rationale for the changes, and whether all of them were necessary and suitably precise...
In examining the American Psychiatric Association archives, Lane -- who argues that psychiatry is using drugs with poor track records to treat growing numbers of normal human emotions -- even came across a proposal to establish chronic complaint disorder, in which people moan about the weather, taxes or the previous night's racetrack results.
It might be funny, he says, save for the fact that the DSM's next edition, due to be completed in 2012, is likely to establish new categories for apathy, compulsive buying, Internet addiction, binge-eating and compulsive sexual behavior. Don't look for road rage, however. It's already in the DSM, under intermittent explosive disorder."
How long before they twist the desire to own firearms into a category in the DSM?

If you are Crazy, why don’t they revoke your right to vote too? Do you think THAT will get any Democrat’s vote?
Oh, that’s a Paradox.....
We need a roll call of who voted for this bill, and who voted against it. Does anybody here know how to find that information?
2. The Brady Center will be given the contract to decide who is not crazy with a simple test.
3. The test question...”How many bubbles are there in a bar of soap?”
Sarc/off
This article provides absolutely no details. Will Bush sign? What was exactly in the bill? Direct link to the text of the bill? etc.
I can’t make any judgement about this bill yet although I join the many that see this as a mile-wide loophole.
The Congress passed legislation banning 100-watt lightbulbs recently, and our President signed it into law today with great fanfare.
Whew!
Got my CCW before it was too late!
