I could be way off, but my prediction is that he's dropping out and endorsing Thompson.

If he’s dropping out of the presidential campaign, will he also announce that he is running for re-election as a congressman?

I could be way off, but my prediction is that he's dropping out and endorsing Thompson. That was my first reaction; especially recalling Thompson's comments to the effect that "there's more to come" after Steve King's endorsement earlier this week.
But, time will tell.

My two cents: he will drop out and endorse BOTH of them as strong border candidates.

The Tank dropping out would not be a surprise.
IIRC his whole point of entering was to get the Illegal Immigration wave, wait scratch that - The Illegal Invasion - to the forefront of the 2008 election. He's done that and done it well (IMO).
And I'll bet the farm he WON'T endorse Rooty, aka 'Mexico's Mayor'.

another Neo-Con that could not withstand the Ron Paul Revolution, especially after the Ron Paul Surge, the $6 Million dollar in 1-day candidate
with Tancredo out of the race, it will give Ron Paul more time in the debates to hammer away real Conservative values

Tancredo, a congressman representing the southern Denver suburbs, scheduled a news conference in Des Moines.
If he’s dropping out why make the announcement in Iowa? On the other hand I guess it could be in Iowa if he’s announcing his support for one of the other contenders.....
14 Days and Iowa kick off the selection process for real. The stragglers are getting further behind with each passing day.

I could be way off, but my prediction is that he's dropping out and endorsing Thompson. I don't think he'll be giving his support to McCain's stalking horse but we've seen a lot of strange things so far.
If the presumption among the candidates is that he'll be dropping out, I imagine that his phone if ringing off the hook right now with lots of nice offers of cabinet positions. Can't get better immigration creds than having Tancredo in your corner.
