If "that nation" isn't even willing to make an attempt at joining us, because they feel that the limitations of our republic outweigh the benefits, good luck to them and their total independence.

It was a very nice interview. Please be sure to e-mail Glenn Beck and let him know how fair and balanced it was. Then e-mail Sean Hannity...let him know he missed a golden opportunity (just kidding). If I remember correctly Dr. Paul will be on Meet the Press this Sunday as well.
Puerto Rico has slightly fewer inhabitants than Kentucky, but Kentucky doesn't have its own team in international sporting events like Puerto Rico does. I don't think it's in the national interest to make Puerto Rico a state. What if after some years passed, a larger percentage of the population decided they would rather have independence? We've already had one civil war over whether a state can leave the union--but to deny the will of the majority of Puerto Ricans (if that view became the majority) would make the US look bad, and terrorism would undoubtedly increase. (It already exists--remember the Puerto Rican terrorists Bill Clinton pardoned?)
IMHO tyranny -will- ride into this country on a white horse one day.
All we need, is the Bible and the Constitution as our safeguards.
Stray from that guidance and we create our own peril.
Ron Paul is all there is.

The RIGHT to bear arms.
And Freedom for U.S.
The Constitution is NOT a “living document subject to change”

Well considering I've never heard of any attempt from any citizens of any nation outside of the Western hemisphere making such a ridiculous suggestion, the point is moot isn't it? Exactly what I said.

I don’t feel it is that high among “likely Republican voters.” Far left loons, maybe, claiming to be Republican.
If Paul were to somehow get the GOP nomination, it will be the death of the Republican party for sure.

Yes it would. Why would any nation want to? Don't get me wrong this isn't a slam on these United States, it's a statement in general. Would be like the Indians calling up the UK and asking to be annexed. Or the Russians deciding over night Chile should be a member state in their federation and asking them to join. Never mind the logistics of keeping a member of the union supplied, what are you going to do? Claim the whole airspace between the two belongs to you?
If you're so gung ho on annexing something get some people up in your state to do it. But although as I said I don't think you're going to find anyone... you seriously can't believe this would be a good idea. At least bother to put some reasoning behind it.
Interesting. I know far more conservatve voters who used to vote Republican until they gave up on the nonsense. How about those? Or have you considered such a thing?

Those marching towards him, wrapped in a flag, carrying a cross and hopefully well armed would be after the crazies lined up behind a likes of Paul, preparing to stab him in the back.
If Ron Paul were to ever lurk here, I'd like him to know his insults do him no favors and his past pronouncements add to his reputation as a loose cannon......or, a sufferer of tertiary syphilis.
Many of us are conservative before Republican. But, even moderate Republicans wouldn’t support him en masse.
On my blog, several Paulistinians come in defending him claiming to be “the true conservatives.”
Their own words betray them.
I guess what Paul says is true. It’s not like a Fascist would be saying, “Hi, I’m a Fascist.”
The Fascist would have to sneak in disguised as Patriot and a Christian or something else that is highly regarded.
Also, Huckabee needs to hire a different camera man. I would have gotten the tree in the shot myself. Who wants to look at a bookshelf?

Fascism : a economic & political system were the means of production of goods & services are allowed to be privately owned but are rigidly controlled by the “state” with regard to what is produced,what its selling price will be as well as mandates on who will buy the aforementioned goods & services. Sounds a lot like the health care programs & economic policy of the Democrats to me.
