A Minnesota community college has "a Muslim place of worship" featuring "a schedule for Islam's five daily prayers," according to a local newspaper columnist who visited the campus.
Tax-supported Normandale Community College in Bloomington, Minn., also has a "sign requesting that shoes be removed" and a barrier that divides men's and women's "prayer spaces," writes Katherine Kersten of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
College officials denied it was anything more than a "meditation" room available for "all faiths."
The description of the facility, however, led one faculty member to tell Kersten the room is "unprecedented" and "goes beyond religious toleration."
"For all practical purposes, this meditation room is essentially a Muslim prayer room," said Chuck Chalberg of Normandale's history faculty.
WND has reported on "accommodations" for Muslims in public institutions, such as schools and airports, and the outrage triggered by the expenditure of public funds on a religion-specific facility.
At Normandale, Kersten reported, an "arrow informed worshippers of the direction of Mecca, and literature urged women to cover their faces."

This just highlights the anti Christian bigotry rampant in liberals these days. Islamic facilities in public places funded by tax dollars meets with dead silence. Imagine a Christian chapel in place of this mess and the outcry from the left would be deafening.
Christian hatred is what is actually meant by leftists advocating seperating (eliminating) the church from the state.
“Isnt that gender discrimination on a public campus?”
Coed dorms, rooms, and showers but by golly this ‘meditation’ room is safe.
Congress shall pass NO law, However Muslims can do as they please ? America is lost
“If the facility is truly for all faiths, they would allow a Christmas service this Sunday, right?”
maybe Tuesday next week...but not Sunday. LOL
University of Illinois has a mosque on campus. Wonder how Islamofascism Awarenss Week went over there.
Sounds like a great spot for a special pre-Christmas caroling event. Ideally with male and female students sitting on top of the “chest high wall”, straddling it, and arranging themselves in an alternating male-female line. Afterwards, on the solstice, turn it over to the Wiccans, who will dismantle the wall, make a bonfire out of the remnants (using the nearby piles of pamphlets as kindling, of course), and dance around it.
Remember when the ACLU was liberal but not partisan organization. It is a shame they squandered their reputation built up over decades.
But I get it now, feminists are waiting for islam to bring down the christian patriarchal structure, so they (the feminists) can later fight and destroy the islamists. chheeeez
“all faiths” sure it is, just try to bring in the standard scalloped potatoes and ham hot dish!
Don’t worry. Its not for Christians so “Church and State” doesn’t apply here.
How about hiring a belly dancer? :)
*Bounds through the “Meditation Room” tossing pork rinds with gay abandon*
“Oh, look!! It’s snowing!!”
OK...where are the Christian Chapel on this campus????
I’ll bring the bacon, make sure to wear a tank top and shorts (I refuse to wear a habj or whatever the bed sheet is they require women to wear) and make sure to sit on the “men’s” side of the room..... We’ll see how “diverse” it is......
Exactly. If I was attending this school I would push the issue. I would show up when it was full of Muslims, not remove my shoes and walk right on in to the side the men were on.
Then I would foce the college to shut down their Muslim room.
The only way to stop this crap is thru confrontation then the threat of a lawsuit.
Can I go there and eat pork rinds while I meditate?
BLT works for me. We use pork rinds but then again we're orthodox. LOL
(on the plus side you can really spread them around more as they crush well)
How about a purse full of bacon bits (REAL bacon bits!!) with a big ol’ hole in the bottom?
